This is a scam. Do not use them. The call center just hung up on me. I’ve been trying to reach them for two days to request an adjustment to work they did, but they’ve been actively avoiding me. Initially, when I called them for a new installation, they were able to schedule it within minutes. However, when I call them for any concerns after the service is completed, they completely ignore me. I should have checked Trustpilot reviews before choosing them, and that’s on me. But this is a complete scam. If you use them after reading these reviews, you’ll be highly frustrated and disappointed.

Spring broke and so garage door shut and it's a weeknight. Search for spring repair and lightninggaragedoor.com comes up pretty quickly and looks all legit. Just stop if this describes you, park car out front and call Lowe's or some other well-known repair. Lightninggaragedoor.com subcontracts to local "garage fixer"--they probably really know enough to get it working, which they did, but know better how to charge you crazy money and not return calls. Give you a nice invoice about the warranty for the product the just 10x charged you. But good luck reaching them if you actually need warranty work. Or, in our case, they put the wrong spring size on the door. Found that out when I actually did have Lowe's come and do a new garage door opener. Lightninggaragedoor.com subcontracted through someone called Texas Garage Door Service Co. The receipt "fine print" has AllstarGarage Door. None of these are findable on BBB. Imagine that.

The company Lightning Garage Door Repair claimed to be a local family owned business in Charlottesville. It subcontracted our repair (a broken torsion spring) to another company (Over Gold) in Newport News. Their technician barely spoke English and said the new torsion spring would cost $1900 (they retail 2 for $78) and then claimed we needed a new motor (though the old one was working) another $1500 for a Chamberlain motor that retails for $199. The bill ended up just under $4000 for a $500 repair. Lightning offered to take off $1000 (clearly agreeing we had been massively overcharged) but would negotiate no further, We are in our 80s and an easy prey for unscrupulous vendors such as Lightning. BEWARE!!

Do not call them, subcontractor are unprofessional,when always have reason for not come to do the job, they asked for 50%deposit, the day they suppose to come they said technicians has emergency and dont know ETA , we have to call Lighning and contractor about 20 or more times to result this, Allstar garage door technician finally came to installed new opener and don-the worse job ever, wires hanging, didnt explain anything and no light bulb install. Next day after many phone call to supervisor , told him what happen, he finally dont want me call him, only text massage only. I am paid and have not receive invoice yet, sounds like not professional company. Once again do not use them

HEED MY WARNING! DO NOT CALL! DO NOT HIRE! Scammed on a spring replacement. Paid $2300 for a $500-$600 job. They charged me $1400 for springs that cost less than $100. Then found out the technician did not even tighten one of the springs so it was essentially just an ornament and not performing any function at all. Please, please, please do not hire or you will be scammed!

Don't know where the Hell they are getting a 5 star reviews. Needed a spring replaced. I was told it would cost $700 to $850. I repeated it back to the tech and he verified the price. After service was rendered the total came out to be $2,000!!! Told me that the original quoted price was just for the springs. WTF!!! Should have just watched a youtube video and done it myself. Ambulance ride would have been cheaper!!!

Do not use this company in Washington state I was quoted $375 for labor $285 for the spring and $85 for two roller drums for a total of $830 paid with a credit card was charged for 3.5% processing fee of $29.50. Total was $859.50. After leaving my husband and I noticed that our other two garage doors have the same markings as the two roller drums that he suggested that we needed to replace. So there was nothing wrong with our roller drums. Also, I checked the ring camera and this guy was here for 33 minutes. How do you charge $375 for 33 minutes you’re not a lawyer! We were scammed and taken advantage of please find other options

I got taken advantage of. Google reviews are fake. $900 to install a $200 opener and only installed the head unit. Used everything else from the old unit. Really a bad move.
