I called them for a free estimate. They came and charged me $48 for a "service call." Their estimate to replace a 0.5 HP motor was $799 with 25% (senior discount). I asked about new rollers to quiet door some. He said $79 per roller (i.e. $800 per door just for the rollers). I got another estimate (actually free) for $500 for the motor and said new rollers were about $12 per roller. I then did my homework on Lightening Garage Door and saw that many have been ripped off!! Do your homework!

Very deceptive charged $3200 to replace garage door springs, pulleys and garage door opener. Would not give an estimate. Lesson learned, never use this company

If I could give 0 stars I would. Complete rip off. Charged me $1824 after he replaced my springs and pulleys. He burned up my motor by running the door up and down for 2 hours. Then tried to sell me a new motor. I told him to leave. I’ve filed a dispute with my bank credit card.

I had 2 garage door openers installed in January. One of the operating buttons did not work. I have called numerous times and they never return my call. Now one the brackets broke. Left another message was told "will be escalated to upper management". I still have not heard back. I'll be taking them to small claims court.

This company is a rip-off; they took my money but didn't repair my garage door. The guy disconnected the motor and told me to open and close the door manually for $450.00. Called for an advertised free inspection. Estimate to replace bottom door gasket, after a 10% discount, was over $1,000. Tech had to use my tape measure and took incorrect measurements. Told the tech that I was going to get a second estimate. The tech became confrontational. He then showed me, on his phone, that the website now outlines a fee to be paid. The fee was $76.59. He wasn't leaving until the fee was paid and I avoided further confrontation by paying the fee. Received an additional estimate from another company for $302 for the necessary work. My research shows that Lightning Garage Door is a clearing house for local companies to perform work. Note the website has NO ADDRESS. Multiple telephone numbers and different company names other than Lightning Garage Door. Deceptive business practices that you should avoid. Referred to the Attorney General's Office and ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
