Email promotions are just clickbait
I placed a pair of shoes in the wish list. The next day I got an email announcing a price drop on shoes, including the ones on my wish list. I clicked on the link and got to the item's listing on the website. The price there was 55% higher than in their email. I contacted customer service and sent screenshots. They asked for more screenshots and said that prices change constantly. I received two more emails with the same shoes at the same lower price and again sent the screenshots to Customer Service. They replied that “there was some issue” and suggested that I order the item for the price listed and they would give me a refund. Of course I’m not going to do that; it's absurd. I checked the other shoes in the email. They are all at a higher price on their website, so the email promotions are just a way to get customers to place orders and inadvertently pay more than expected.
