Polite staff yes but......
Staff are polite & helpful. But let's face it that is a condition of sales! These types of devices are often sold to disabled elderly people on fixed income. When installation is not done right to begin with, they politely fix it (two times not the right way!) under warranty until warranty runs out and then fix the same issue again for a charge. Then they call it a successful business. Forget about the fact that it took 5 days to respond, after multiple calls. forget the fact the tech used grease on a worn part because he does not have with him, and demanded payment before he CAN leave the house. This unfortunately was my experience. Very polite professional people who can also use technicalities to make a profit (no matter how long it takes). 2 Days after initial reporting I have email from trust pilot that Lifeway mobility needs more detail about my experience but that email liknk does not allow me to add any comment. So here is my updated response. First and most important in this line of business you are dealing with people health and safety, a prompt response not 5 days wait and 5 phone call, is imperative. The First Lady rep I talked to clearly said they have a lot of phone calls, the automated recording says “please only leave one message, the service manager said of issues they have with all new staff. Then the tech arrived. Trying to get the batteries checked he had to get several screws off, he striped one of them & could not get to the batteries the direct way. He had to work an alternate. The screw was never replaced. The issued was discovered at the exact spot they have fixed about a year ago. At that time two electrical wires from original installation were two long, caught into a plastic chain link and snapped both wires and the link. The entire lower assembly was changed but this time the wire was not properly crimped, and over time it got separated partially damaging the link. The tech did not the part in stock so he greased the link! He then spliced the wires back with some difficulty because now it is slightly short, taped it insert the ugly bulk, into the rail rather than changing two feet of wire. For repairing their previous bad repair they charged me $300. When I asked the tech to have the office bill me so that I can explain and contest this, he had the nerve to tell me that he won’t leave the house until he gets paid. I have charge on my credit card was never given or sent a receipt and now have a piece of wiring sanding under the device waiting to be snapped . In short if you are making an improper fix with no spare part, addressing your own previous mistake and after 5 days delay, why should I trust the safety of my family to you.
