It’s astonishing how such a reputable group of people could wholeheartedly promote this organization to Christians who are simply trying to improve their lives. Shame on everyone involved, including the celebrities who are making large sums of money by putting their faces on these posters and delivering their “little” speeches about how being wealthy is the only Godly way to live. Let me start by saying that any conference or educational expo that does not allow questions is a massive RED FLAG. If, despite my warning, you choose to attend one of these events, try asking the speaker a question in front of everyone—you’ll quickly see how fast they shut you down. This organization has SCAM written all over it. Out of the eight-hour-long “classes,” a staggering 7.5 hours is spent showing and telling you just how rich everyone in the organization is. One of the speakers boasted, “I own a high-rise apartment building in downtown Chicago, and my doorman’s name is James Smith.” This was followed by yet another James Smith, who joined via Zoom from his son’s multi-million-dollar home to flaunt its size and wealth. He then proceeded to talk about how poor his sister is, saying that if only she had taken his advice, she wouldn’t be so poor—driving a trash car and living in a trashy apartment. Beyond the arrogance, this so-called “Christian” speaker used an appalling amount of vulgar and hateful language toward women throughout his speech. I couldn’t make this up if I tried. And let’s not even get started on the endless name-dropping—so many rich and powerful people that Mr. James Smith apparently knows and has “helped.” The entire event was filled with outdated, manipulative sales tactics, like repeating key words three times in a row to keep the audience engaged and lured in. Unfortunately, there was even more. Once you’re there, they guilt-trip you into filling out an application and call you to the back for a one-on-one discussion. At this point, they pull your credit and use a creditor that just so happens to approve you for three times the cost of the “class.” For example, if the class costs $20,000–$39,000, they approve people for $60,000 each. How convenient! They then tell you that you could even use the extra $40,000 to invest, interest-free, for 18 months using the knowledge gained from the $20,000 course you just paid for. To top it off, the speaker made sure to emphasize that people who have sued him in the past have never been able to extract a single dollar from him because his assets are protected and undetectable. This was clearly meant as a warning: Once we have your money, don’t even think about suing us—you won’t get anything. It also seemed like a way to deflect scrutiny from his so-called wealth, which might not even exist. Smart strategy—they’ve clearly thought through every angle to prevent backlash. Then comes the reverse psychology. They go out of their way to say that even they thought it was a scam before they attended a SurgeU event. Of course, the entire thing is scripted, something they not-so-subtly admit multiple times. What they don’t mention, however, is that there are numerous people in the audience who secretly work for the organization. These planted participants help push the agenda by ensuring that real attendees stay engaged and convinced. Throughout the day, they assess their targets—watching body language, gauging skepticism, and adjusting their approach accordingly. They share emotional sob stories (divorced single moms who lost their way but were led here by God), put on over-the-top enthusiasm, give hugs, and smile as if this is some kind of spiritual awakening. Oh, what theatrics. And let’s address the laughable way they respond to negative reviews. The generic, dismissive “We don’t see that you attended” is nothing but a weak attempt to shut down people who are exposing them. Come up with a new strategy. I’ve broken down just a few of their manipulative tactics so that anyone who encounters them can recognize the scam for what it is. And finally, Mr. Sean, your response to one-star reviews—calling people “losers” and boasting about the guy with eight Italian restaurants who refused to buy fake reviews—was a pathetic attempt to discredit real complaints. Your effort to make educated people sound disgusting, saying they make you want to throw up, was beyond nauseating. People pursue degrees so they don’t have to spend eight hours straight lying about their wealth, yelling for a poor woman to fetch them tea and honey. Update after their response : they have no record of my attendance as predicted! And a whole lot of biblical references to deflect. Good thing I have a personal relationship with Christ and it helps me recognize impostors.

Love, love, loved my experience at the worship at the Cow Palace earlier in the month. The training with Pip and the team has been amazing!!! Definitely feel like it is God’s calling and can’t wait to see what the future holds for me and serving the Lord in building God’s Kingdom. God’s Will be done!! And God bless Surge U!! Amen 🙏🏻❤️

I was so blessed by the Life Surge experience. Fantastic gathering and fellowship in addition to 3 days of jam packed education. I am looking forward to growing many of the relationships that were made and plugging in to the Life Surge community.
