Good Start, but Communication and Prescription Delays Are a Problem
When I first started with LifeMD, I was very pleased with how well the program worked and the level of support I received. However, more recently I’ve experienced serious communication issues and significant delays in getting my prescription refills. This has been frustrating and concerning, especially since consistent access to medication is so important. If they could improve their responsiveness and streamline the refill process, the service would be much more reliable.

Drs and delivery is great
Drs and delivery is great. But im going on 2 months and just now going to start 4.5mgs and haven't lost but maybe 3lbs. I'm hoping on 4.5 i will start to lose some weight. It is a lot of money to spend and not lose any weight.

The Good and Bad
TL;DR: LifeMD has friendly, empathetic staff and good customer service with flexible appointments, helping with nausea and sleep alongside GLP-1 treatment. However, slow shipping, delayed responses (3-4 days), and insurance issues (especially after coverage for Wegovy ended) caused frustration. Conflicting insurance info and generic responses were problems. The compound medication led to weight gain after stopping Wegovy, and at $299/month, it’s expensive. PCOS and insulin resistance, saw minimal weight loss and stopped using LifeMD due to cost and lack of results, opting for diet and exercise instead. I wouldn’t use LifeMD again but appreciated the option for remote care.
✨ Pros:
💕They have really nice people working for them. The customer service is nice, the video calls were enjoyable and comfortable.
💕They have empathy and are helpful. They helped with my nausea and sleep, not just the GLP-1.
💕I was able to make many appointments and I didn’t have to wait a week for that necessarily. I also chose to see whomever was available so that helped.
😬 Cons:
🫠 Shipping is slow.
🫠 Slow to get a response sometimes from customer service and sometimes the medical side as well. I understand they have a lot of people but I’ve waited ~3 or 4 days I believe. Sometimes things require faster communication but my issues weren’t anything important maybe.
🫠 They worked with my insurance but as time went on and after Jan 1, they were still helpful but not to the same degree. My insurance stopped covering Wegovy on Jan 1, so we tried to figure that out. That took a while. A month later after being on nothing, I had to start my dose over with the compound because I couldn’t afford Wegovy after Jan 1.
🫠 Hard for me to get updated info from a few people. I’d ask about my insurance status because I appealed the denials and they’d tell me my insurance covers it. I’d have to tell them they stopped.
🫠 I bet it still shows on their app my insurance covers it. Nope. Price is wild. Not these peoples fault. Just conflicting info. I tried explaining that to a few people there but their info didn’t show that. I had a hell of a time trying to convince them it was incorrect.
🫠 Some listened, some didn’t. Sometimes I’d get generic info and my question wasn’t really addressed. Starting over after a month really messed up any progress. I tried so hard not to gain anything.
🫠 I did the compound for 2 months and I have gained weight since being off Wegovy, even on just the compound. I believe I have gained 20 pounds. It’s July. I last took the compound in May. I believe. I still had Wegovy to last to last week of February but wasn’t on it all of March. April and May were compound and I noticed I was gaining. I didn’t want to have to take this forever. It’s so expensive. $299/mo. isn’t bad if you compare it to Ozempic or Wegovy or Tirzepetide but it’s still a chonk of change.
😬 I began the program because my insurance covered Wegovy so I wasn’t expecting to pay $299/mo compound on top of the service in general. I’ve also read numerous medical related articles and things that say because the compounds aren’t FDA regulated, we don’t know what’s in them. They could be nothing for all we know. I doubt it’s nothing but I don’t have a mass-spectrometer to check that.
✨ I am no longer using LifeMD because I can’t afford it and I’m doing the regular old increase food quality, decrease quantity and move my body. No nausea, no extra expenses.
🥺 I wanted to try a GLP-1 but I didn’t want to be on it forever. I just wanted sometimes to give me a jump start of confidence and hope.
😔 I did not experience any notable weight loss more than a few pounds here and there. Every body is different so take that with a grain of salt. I have PCOS and a number of other things and my insurance still kept denying it even with a clear history of insulin resistance documented for over 20 years. Hormones suck!
🤓 As far as moral support, they did ok.
Would I use them again? No. It’s not just them though. It just didn’t work for me and I don’t have the money to keep trying right now. I am quite desperate but I’m still working on me. I’m not starting over. Just resuming. I haven’t tried any other companies like this but it was very nice to have this option as I live 30 miles from town.
I used their service they have through Claimable and had a video call with them to list everything about me and I retrieved 25 year old medical records from a few doctor offices in a state where I used to live. Claimable asked if I’ve heard anything back and I hadnt. I asked LifeMD and they said it was denied. They were looking at an older denial and I was appealing that one. I could not get the 2 or 3 people I spoke to to understand that

Auto renewal and subscription not shown anywhere on account
The reply time is excellent and service is good, but they don't show your subscription information anywhere. I had to message their admin to find out when my subscription would renew and how much it would be for. This was for much higher than I remembered. Further, I didn't get much out of this other than them trying to get approval from my insurance and that being denied. In the end I didn't get much more than blood work out of this. I'll probably go directly to a peptide compounder now.
Response from LifeMDJul 15, 2025
We appreciate your feedback and the time you took to share your experience. We apologize that your subscription information wasn't readily available and that the renewal cost was higher than expected. We're also sorry to hear that our service didn't meet your expectations beyond the blood work. We will review our processes to improve transparency regarding subscription details.

I felt that Quinn answered my questions however when I got into the portal after I paid it was saying I was over the age to use semaglutide. Therefore I hope I can get on this program. It is frustrating.

Everything was easy but too darn…
Everything was easy but too darn expensive. I think you can get the same help from your local pharmacy and doctor for 1/3 of the price.

Prescription Renewal Process Confusing
Went through the prescription renewal for the first time and it was utterly confusing. Reached out and asked questions only to have the response cause further confusion. If I have chosen pharmacy pickup, then nothing should state my prescription refill will be mailed to me.
