Less than perfect
I think three and a half stars would be more appropriate, as 3 stars is too stingy, but four stars is too generous. I first ordered a pair of single vision glass lenses at the beginning of 2020, and I paid a total of $69. The shipping kit was free and prepaid, there were no taxes, no other fees, no shipping of the sort, it was just a total of $69. If I wanted to add an anti-reflective coating, it would've cost an additional $39. My glasses got sent in, and shipped out in 11 days. Not business days, just to clarify, 11 days, and they came right back. The prescription was spot on, but my frames had a couple scratches and the arms were loose. I decided to give the benefit of the doubt, assumed that I sent in some faulty frames, and decided to tighten the arms with a strap and some post it notes. I know the prescription was spot on because I compared my new glass lenses back and forth with a pair of CR-39s directly from the doctor, and the acuity was ever so slightly higher with the glass. A year later, I decided to order a second pair, this time opting for the anti-reflective coating. The cost of the lenses went up to $89, the anti-reflective was $59, the shipping kit was now $5, and I had to pay an additional $8.95 in taxes. This steep price increase got on my nerves, but this is one of the few places that you can get glass at a still affordable price, which I continually opt for due to the high visual acuity. At the same time, I ordered a $30 pair of polycarbonate safety glasses from a separate website. I waited 15 business days after my glasses arrived at the factory before I sent a chat asking for a status update and was told that an expedite request was sent on my order. That did actually worry me a little bit, because I didn't want my order to be rushed, just to know the status. My glasses shipped out two days later, and then I received them a week later. When the glasses arrived, they were covered in dust, but for the most part, my glasses seemed fine. Then I noticed that the anti-reflective coating was half finished. I figured I could tough it out, until I realized that a half finished anti-reflective in 1 lens is a million times more noticeable than no anti-reflective at all, and I was getting left eye strain along with headaches. I sent an email to the company explaining the situation with 4 separate pictures at different angles to show the asymmetry in my anti-reflective. I got a reply saying that they were sorry that the left lens "seem[ed]" off. They did send me a return label though, so that was nice. I also noticed that my right eye was blurrier than my left, and assumed that maybe my prescription changed in the time I was waiting for the glasses. This was until I switched back and forth between my glass glasses and my polycarbonate safety glasses, and realized the prescription in my right lens was just wrong. I left a detailed note in my return package explaining this, as I didn't see the point in sending another email, as I was already sending the glasses back and figured they would see it. Perhaps that was my mistake, as I got zero notification of anybody having received the note. I received the glasses after 16 business days, dusty once again. The left lens had been fixed. Unfortunately, the right lens was the same as when I first got it, which I think has lately made my right eye a little bit worse. I don't know if the prescription is weak, or if the astigmatism is wrong, but I know that this company can do better. The left arm of my glasses was also slightly off, but I was able to fix that again with a strap. I get the impression that whoever made these glasses tested them, thought, "eh, this is probably good enough" and sent them my way. If I wanted that level of care in my glasses, I could've gotten some stock CR-39s and saved $160. I'm annoyed that I sent my frames in on Jan 4th and didn't get them back in acceptable condition until St. Paddy's. I hope next order, my glasses are better than acceptable
