Poor quality product
Almost every review is based on logistics, not the product. I get it if you didn't receive your product, but that's not typically the fault of the seller though fulfillment when a product is lost certainly is. My review is entirely based on the product, which I did receive, and it's quality. It's not good. Not even okay. I'm going to break down specific points of this product and why it was ultimately an underwhelming at best experience in the hopes that it informs the company to either unlist the product or seek a different manufacturer. - Product was missing a dowel pin that is pictured on the product page. I had to make a separate purchase for an item that was listed as being included. I wasn't about to wait three months for a dowel pin that may or may not arrive. Not a good start. - There were no included instructions. I knew the product page showed assembly, but I couldn't believe this was what the customer was expected to use when building the ukulele. It's fair to assume most people have never assembled a string instrument before. Stringing the ukulele was a lot of trial and error as a result. - Materials were kept loosely in a plain box. I'm not so particular about presentation in most cases, but there was no packaging within the box to keep items safe. It quite literally looked "thrown together". - Materials included were a joke. Admittedly, I had no plans of using whatever paint was to be included, but I laughed when I saw the paint pot strip. There was no way this would have been enough to properly paint the ukulele. Additionally, the included screws varied in sizes. At first, I thought there were just two different sizes, which made sense. No, one screw was a different shape entirely along with two others. It was as if whatever was on hand was tossed into a bag. The "wood glue" just has to be basic Elmer's glue based on it's appearance and consistency. - Screw holes on front of ukulele were uneven. This was a serious point of frustration for me. At this point I felt like any effort to make this a properly functioning instrument was wasted. Not much needs to be said about why this impacted my opinion. In short, this is not a scam in the sense that the product exists. It very much does, and that's the problem, because as it is it should not be available for purchase. Logistics may be out of their control, but it's genuinely shameful that this product is sold in this condition that it is. I do not have any intention of ordering from this seller in the future.
