Hi Tracy, I understand that you were disappointed with the color of the Made To Order shelves you purchased. I'm sorry they weren't what you'd hoped! I did want to point out that there is an image in the listing showing all three color options side by side. For these shelves, we offer a Natural (unfinished, no stain), Rustic Brown (dark brown stain) and Rustic Gray (light gray stain). This order was placed for the Rustic Brown shelves with the dark brown stain. While the Natural shelves can vary slightly, the Rustic Brown are very consistent and are the darkest shelves we offer in this style. Unfortunately, as these were custom made to fulfill your order, we aren't able to offer an exchange or refund. I, too, have experienced issues with ordering something online that looked to be a different color than what arrived, due to the screen on which I was shopping. It can be very frustrating! I hope you are able to adjust the color to be closer to what you were hoping. If you are looking to order anything additional in the future, please note that we do offer samples of the different shelves and finishes on our website. The safest and best way to be sure that the Made To Order shelves are exactly what you want would be to have a sample in the room where they will hang to see how the light and colors work together. Hi Rick, We appreciated the opportunity for our Customer Service Team to work with you on your concerns. As was explained in that email conversation, there is an image in the listing that shows the rout, the bracket and the information regarding the rout placement. There is also a template provided with the brackets to aid in installation. Our listing also indicates "All standard shelves are routed to hit standard stud locations that are 16″ apart on center. If you are looking for a length that is not listed, or your studs are not 16″ apart, check out our Made To Order Listing!" We certainly understand that it is a lot of information to take in, which is why we are available to answer any questions you may have before ordering or before installation.
