Over-hype mattress effectiveness and comfort

The mattress is great,unfortunately not great for me. My husband loves it and is sleeping better. I wake up with near crippling back pain. This is our second Leesa mattress. We bought the original the first time and we bought the original with the cooling pad added to it. The only thing that I can figure is the surface of this mattress is different. The first one was smooth and this one is quilted. I’m pretty sure we are going to have to replace it.

Biggest issue with our mattress is that the corners/edges are so soft that our fitted sheet falls off every couple of days. Never had that issue before with any of our sheets on our old mattress. Now it is all of them

I am disappointed with the level of cooling. I expected an improvement over our full memory foam mattress

1. The quality of the mattress seems good. I had to trust Wirecutter for their recommendation to purchase a mattress without testing it out first. 2. The mattress arrived a day late due to a mistake with the warehouse which didn't pack it on the delivery truck on the due date - it arrived a the next day fortunately in the morning. 3. The mattress gave off a chemical smell and my eyes got irritated. It makes me wonder what's in the mattress that irritated me? It's now three days since we received the mattress and we still smell that a little. It's concerning. 4. I'm not sure it works for me. My husband likes the mattress. I find it a little too soft even though it's a hybrid and has a firm foundation. It's harder to move around on because it sinks in so much more.
