His clothes weighed 6.5kg. He claims it weighed 5.87kg, but had no evidence like a photo or something else (like most people, he probably used a body scale to try weighing his clothes which is not super accurate). In Jakarta, weighting is rounded so anything above 6kg would be rounded up to 7kg. So for a unproven discrepancy of about 0.2kg, he is saying we are scammers, is going to open a credit card dispute, and dropped a 1 star review bomb, etc. He is also not being accurate/honest in his review. He was only charged one additional kilo. He stated a plural kgs trying to make it sound like we seriously overcharged him or something. So notice he didn't actually write how many kilos he was overcharged, nor the price. The extra charge was 25,000 IDR which is currently 1.40 USD. After taking out the processing fees, it would be less than a single dollar. An amount you'd literally have to count in cents, and this man has gone all out writing defamation and lies about being charged additional "kgs". Unfortunately, as a service based business, this is the type of modern day Karenomics we have to deal with so I'd encourage anyone reading to take nearly all of the bad reviews on here with 2 or even 3 grains of salt. Ps. We refunded him before even learning about this review because for such a small amount, we can default to giving the customer the benefit of the doubt and operating in good faith. Unfortunately, these types of sentiments are not reciprocated by certain individuals.

Hi Matt. Thank you for the honest feedback about our Tokyo branch and sorry to hear about the shrinkage. We have not had many shrinkage issues in the past, but unfortunately it's a natural occurence when introducing heat to certain fibers/materials. Depending on the type of fabric, you may be able to somewhat unshrink the clothes with some gentle tugging and normal wear (hang drying also helps pull on the fibers a bit). We are a simple laundry outfit and have limited resources, especially since we work with international customers and it's not like everyone on staff, locally, can speak English. So when we get questions about things like when the clothes will be delivered, we have prepopulated answers that lean more in the direction of self help or referencing the order confirmation email. For prospective customers, for reference, the turnaround/delivery time is selected by you during checkout, is displayed on the confirmation page, is listed in your order confirmation email, and is even sent to you via WhatsApp (if you supply your WA number during checkout). It is not a hidden or hard to find piece of information (although I still understand his point of view). For transparency, we also do not provide status updates. Your clothes are simply delivered on time (based on what you select during checkout).

She sent in a moldy shirt, accused us of somehow staining only that one particular piece out of the entire load, wanted compensation, then proceeded to drop a review bomb on us since she didn't hear back in 1 day. It's like submitting a claim with an insurance company for compensation, and expecting them to stop their entire business so they can expedite your false/inaccurate claim. She is a nice person, I'm sure, but these are the unfortunate types of issues that we have to deal with as a service based business. Similar to nearly all of the 1 star reviews here, this one is also totally illegitimate and a product of modern day Karenomics (I am not calling anyone a Karen, just noting that in recent years there has been an increase in this type of customer behavior, unfortunately...ie. I make a mistake, I blame you for it, you don't compensate me right away?...review bomb). Hi Gurdial. Sorry to hear and I regret to inform you that it looks like you've been played. You scheduled the pickup for Wednesday August 12th, with a scheduled delivery of Saturday August 15th. Your clothes were delivered an entire day early on Friday the 14th. A person from your hotel with the WeChat screenname 汤米·张 contacted us about the delivery status so we shared the delivery confirmation photos with him. When in reality it was sitting there with them at the concierge the whole time, for 3 entire days (SMH). Kindly, Saul As an aside, for anyone reading this, please do not go to a place like China and expect people to message you on WhatsApp (which is blocked in China), refuse to use WeChat (which is clearly how life is run in China), and then complain about communication. Pps. "I called and messaged numerous times, as did the hotel". This is false. We had an entire group chat dedicated to Mr. Gurdial which included staff from his hotel. If the hotel mislead you, that's an issue you should take up with them. Please contact us (on WeChat) if you'd like more screenshots of the communication we had with them and/or the group chat.
