Burned off half my eyebrow!
I wanted to wait until my entire treatment that I paid for was done before writing a review. The first two sessions of the IPL was great. The two gals that helped me were very professional and careful. The same cannot be said for Sheila, the gal that did my last treatment. She was initially very nice, but when she was getting ready to start, she did not cover my eyebrows like the previous two people did. I am not one to tell you how to do your job, however, having my eyebrows covered the prior two times tells me there’s a reason they do that. This time she insisted that she knew what she was doing and it wasn’t necessary. Well it was necessary because she did end up burning/singed the inner part of my right eyebrow and I smelled the burned hairs right away. I was hoping for the best when she finished so I can see if my eyebrow was still there. I told her about it when I walked out of the room and she pretty much said I was a liar, she said she didn’t treat the area anywhere near my eye brow, but she did! She did the area between the eyebrows! And my forehead! She told me to put castor oil on it and it’ll be fine. If nothing was wrong with my eyebrow than why did she advise me to use castor oil?? But That’s not the point, she burned the hairs of my eyebrow and could care less. No apology, nothing, she didn’t want to admit to it. I wanted to purchase more treatments but after this experience, no way! I feel like the IPL level was lower than the previous times and was pointless to do, so in the end, I didn’t even get my IPL results that I wanted and I’m missing half an eyebrow. To give credit to the previous gals that I had treatments with, my review would have been 5 stars, but unfortunately having my eyebrow burned off and zero results from last IPL (I say zero results because they first two times I did leave with redness and they said the spots will get dark and fall off, which did happen, this time, I didn’t even get any redness, nothing, no response from my face, and you may be thinking it’s because the first two treatments may have gotten all the spots and there was nothing left, but I still have very visible spots that should have responded to this third treatment, hence the reason I was looking forward to booking more treatments, and after two treatments I’m aware how my face responds to the treatment, but this third time, there was nothing at all). Sorry for the long review but word of advice, if you are doing IPL, make sure they cover your eyebrows! Don’t let them talk you out of it, it’s your eyebrows that will be burned off, not theirs !
