This company headquarters in Paris, France. They hire US interpreters based on AI screen and a ridiculous test with situational questions designed for current High School students and recent graduates, which results in them hiring people with little to zero experience. The pay is one of the lowest in the industry. Their AI turns down bi-lingual interpreters with decades of experience in the industry. So, do not expect quality interpretation with Language Line. Choose a US-owned company for your interpretation needs.

My mom had her mammogram today, and the intepreter was horrible, seem like she just start intepreting yesterday. She cannot even intepret the correct basic information like menstrual period. They are scammers. A foreign company cannot directly transfer country currency. The chosen book *The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes* is a public domain book (free of copyright restrictions). Scammers often use well-known public domain books because the text can be downloaded online for free, making it easy for them to send you an "assignment." They send a fake proof of payment or a counterfeit cheque/transfer stating that they "accidentally" transferred too much money. They then ask you to send back the difference in SRD/USD via Western Union, crypto, or a local account before you realize their transfer was fake. The "Advance / Registration" scam: Once the translation is finished (or before it begins), they claim the money is sitting in an intermediary account, but that you must first pay "administrative fees," "conversion fees," or "verification fees" to receive the SRD amount. As soon as you pay, they disappear.

What a disgraceful company! Don't do business with them. The would cancel jobs when on the way to the client and will not pay you. They hire inexperienced and underqualified interpreters. To the point that clients would share it with you. I will stick to Brits agencies.

I find the face-to-face interpreting rates extremely unrealistic, particularly for assignments in London. Expecting a professional interpreter to travel potentially a few hours for a one-hour assignment paying around £14 simply does not make financial sense. Although travel expenses are said to be covered, the mileage reimbursement can amount to only a few pounds even when travelling a considerable distance. This does not reflect the actual cost of fuel, vehicle expenses, traffic, parking or, most importantly, the interpreter’s travelling time. In a busy city like London, a one-hour assignment can easily take three or four hours of an interpreter’s day once travelling is included. Interpreters are qualified professionals, and face-to-face rates should realistically reflect both their expertise and the significant time commitment required to attend assignments. The current structure makes many face-to-face assignments simply not worthwhile accepting.

I had an assessment and the email that I received was not very good in terms of why they did not accept me. However I am not bothered about it. Out there are better interpreting agency. Don't lose your time for taking the assessment.. They didn't ask anything related to my language.

They hire people and within couple of months they fired people with no valid reason. Worst company to work for if you need peace of mind. Very stressful to work with.

Client is always right. interpreters have no rights. They will fire you for a slight mistake. I have worked for them for 10 years. No pay rise for 9 years from US side. Then OPI UK raised my pay finally!! I had even got a diploma from them for professionalism n long hours. Last year complaint after complaint although previous 9 years no complaint from clients. Complaints were: i did quickly cold transfer- had an emergency, so had to find another interpreter QUICKLY of course!!!, I smacked too much when speaking that client thought i was eating, I tried to explain to them that it could be the tech issues when mic picks up too much, and sure enough: they monitored me a lot last year and couldnt find anything wrong on my interpreting. I have not changed my interpreting suddenly after 9 years!!! Their feedback system must have increased. One day they called me to terminate my contract. I was shattered. no warning, no reason. Aha, The UK side increased my pay to .30 ppm, so they fired me after 3 months :) After 1 month of working with Word360 they called to thank me how many bookings I have done for them, clients are satisfied and the company is happy to have me!!! I had never had a feedback from LLS like this in 10 years!!!!!! Run away from them if you want to feel dignified and acknowledged.
