I recently had my second 24k necklace…
I recently had my second 24k necklace made by Kuvera. The first, a 24k, 22", 6mm, anchor chain. I asked Suraj for a couple of changes. 1st. I wanted to have it made from my own gold bars, that I had already purchased. 2nd. The fish-hook clasp was a bit more involved than what I was looking for, possibly taking a little away from my mariners cross pendant, so I asked if it could be shortened some. Suraj was very accommodating, meeting me to discuss all the details. We agreed on a price that worked for both of us, and the turnaround time was less than the estimated ten days. Closer to a week. When it came, the necklace was not as shiny (polished) as I expected it to be. I've never owned any 24k jewelry. Once I got used to it, I like it even more than l expected to. The rustic good looks of pure gold makes me think of it as something that a pirate might have had. I also wanted to have a longer 27" Cuban chain made, with the remainder of my bars. (that length would be able to clear the anchor pendant and 22" chain.) Again, I requested a couple changes. 1. Do away with the fish-hook clasp all together. 2. Make it a continuous chain. Since its longer, it can be taken off without having a clasp. Once again, the luster of the gold is not as shiny as some of the other Miami Cuban chains I've seen, and thats OK. The only "small" complaint I do have with any of the process or workmanship is in the connecting link, where the two ends of the chain were fused. It's shape is a little bit different from the rest of the links, not quite seamless, so when the chain is laid flat out on a table, it is noticeable. Other than that, I am very pleased with the whole process. I would purchase my next piece from Kuvera. I'd also recommend Kuvera to anyone who's looking for beautiful, and affordable 24k jewelry ! Thank you, Suraj ! Andy C
