Best online investing site!

Management is literally 2-3 recent grads who have no idea what they are doing. There have been dozens of companies that have already scammed the system for hundreds of thousands of user's money and the company has shown no signs of due diligence in stopping this. DO NOT INVEST - for your own sake!

I think that Kickfurther is a great platform. I think that there a couple things that could be improved. 1. Communication between Kickfurther and users when cosignments are labelled trouble. We want to know whats going on. This is our money which is going into the backing of these companies. It is important for KF to continue to vet and bother owners to get answers. I have too much money in cosignments where they are troubled. I get too much of a basic form reply from both KF and the owner, but nothing ever comes of it. Continued communication would be best. The trust that KF builds with its users is what will help the company continue to grow. We are the capital providers! 2. If you are going to claim to offer updates evey week or 2 weeks stick with it. This is a trust issue. Or keep on the owners to provide those updates.

The product is supposed to finance inventory, but on multiple occasions, the partners have used funds for other purposes. I understand the business/sales risk we are taking, but I think Kickfurther needs to do a better job ensuring the funds are applied appropriately.

I love the idea of Kickfurther, but they seem to have pretty terrible management, minimal funding, poor planning and - worst yet - a poor understanding of and appreciation for a very integral part of their business - the "investors." They don't properly vet the businesses, and have no ended up with a TON of failed investments. These can range for legitimate failures (a company goes out of business) and totally sketchy ones (a business is clearly fake and just took Kickfurther's money and ran). I have invested a small amount compared to many on this platform (around $200) and will be shocked if I get even close to all of it back. While the idea is really fun, without Kickfurther acually being the middle man who confirms these businesses are real, and actually have purchase orders and/or inventory, I HIGHLY suggest you don't put even $1 of your hard earned money into this platform. The reason I give 2 starts instead of 1, though, is because I love the idea. And I know that some real businesses have benefited from raising funds with KF, and that in those instances the "investors" were paid back properly and did earn a decent return. But right now, as things stand, the risk is nowhere near worth the reward.

I love the Kickfurther mission and enjoy participating. I am happy to see the dedication and commitment the entrepreneurs have for businesses. I am extremely pleased to see the prompt, informative and honest communication from entrepreneurs if their investments enter troubled status and how they pull out all the stops to fulfill their obligations. I would like to see on the Kickfurther site better/clearer information on payback schedules/calendars so I can see the numerous payback amounts & timing that I have coming. Also, it would be nice to see a clearer summary of my investment + paybacks to date + paybacks scheduled. And a table showing the actual ROI vs the promised for each contribution and for my portfolio as a whole. Seems like the site is a continual work in progress, always improving and making it better for both entrepreneurs and investors.

Ok, but the website should list more complete data.

I'll give Kickfurther the benefit of the doubt because it's trying to do something new. It needs some time to work the kinks out of the system especially when it's lending criteria appear to be based on social metrics rather than traditional financial standards. The website needs improvement but Kickfurther knows this and I trust that they will address and remedy the website issues over time. Finally, no matter how you look at it, there are people who are loaning money to a business. Kickfurther doesn't style itself as a traditional lender because it is not. But I am. So, I'd like Kickfurther to 1) obtain basic financial information from a borrower such as a balance sheet and income statement, 2) provide information as to how gains are calculated so I don't have a problem with the IRS, 3) run a defaulting borrower into the ground. I don't want the business community to see Kickfurther as an easy way to get money from suckers.
