We are so sorry to hear about your experience and can absolutely understand how stressful and frustrating that must have been. Parasites can unfortunately be common in young puppies, even when they have been dewormed, as it sometimes takes multiple treatments to fully clear them. That being said, we do agree that when a puppy is not deemed 100% healthy at the initial vet visit, the breeder should be notified and given the opportunity to review the vet documentation and discuss reimbursement for related medication expenses. Have you been able to reach out to the breeder directly with a copy of your vet bill and test results? Breeders are willing to work with families when proper documentation is provided. If you have already contacted them and are not receiving a response, please feel free to reach out to us directly so we can help facilitate communication. We truly want both our customers and our breeders to have positive experiences, and we are here to help however we can.

Thank you for your feedback. We want to clarify that Keystone Puppies is not a breeder and does not house puppies at a central location. All puppies remain with their breeders, and all families pick up their puppy directly from the breeder’s home unless the puppy is being shipped. Our photographers visit every breeder in person and take every photo on our website, which ensures that the puppies are real and accurately represented. Regarding deposits: breeders only request a deposit if you want them to hold a puppy for you. Otherwise, you are welcome to pay in cash at pickup when you meet the breeder and the puppy in person. We’re happy to help connect you directly with any breeder and answer any questions to make the process transparent and comfortable.

We want to clarify that this statement is not accurate. Our team personally visits each breeder’s home and takes photos of the puppies when they are between six and eight weeks old. Those pictures are then added directly to our website to advertise the current puppies available with that breeder. We do not use old or outdated photos. We want to be clear that the breeder mentioned is inspected regularly, and all puppies are examined by a licensed veterinarian before going to their new homes, and any known medical concerns are disclosed at that time. The conditions you described, including a year-long illness and cataracts, are not issues we have seen documented with this breeder in the past. Health concerns can arise for many reasons over a dog’s lifetime, and not all are related to breeding practices. While we cannot speak to the cause of your dog’s current condition, we take all feedback seriously and encourage customers to reach out to us directly so we can review concerns with the breeder and veterinarian involved. We’re sorry to hear you had a negative experience. After reviewing our communication, I want to provide some context for others reading this review. You and I exchanged 17 emails where I addressed every concern you had, including your worries about the breeder. I explained that we have personally visited this breeder, who is an accredited breeder, and we included notes from our visits directly on the breeder’s page. I also shared that the breeder only has a small number of dogs in their care. You later expressed concern over the lack of parent photos. Unfortunately, we cannot provide photos that we do not have. When you had difficulty locating the breeder’s vet, I advised asking the breeder directly for the vet’s phone number to verify their care practices. Even after all the information and reassurance, you remained uncomfortable. At that point, I respectfully suggested that you might want to consider a different breeder, as we truly want every customer to feel confident and at peace with their decision. It’s disappointing to receive a 1-star review after the extensive support and transparency we provided, but we sincerely wish you the best in finding the perfect puppy for your home.
