It took more than 10 days and around 20 back-and-forth emails with support before I finally received the buyer’s payment. On top of that, there were extra fees and the process felt much more complicated than it should be. A simple mistake—putting the buyer’s name in the buyer field on the title—turned into a nightmare. I had to visit the DMV in person for a form that isn’t available online, mail it after I had already mailed the title, then re-mail and email it again. The core issue is that KeySavvy requires you to list them as the buyer on the pink slip, not the actual buyer. It’s completely unintuitive, and recovering from this mistake was extremely time-consuming and frustrating.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear about the frustration you experienced and the extra time it took to complete your transaction. The step that caused trouble here — listing KeySavvy as the buyer on the title instead of the actual buyer — is an important part of our process. It allows us, as the licensed dealer, to guarantee that your buyer receives a clear title, regardless of any liens, co-owners, or other complexities. This protection is core to our service, but we definitely understand that it can feel unintuitive if you haven’t been through the process before. We do our best to make these instructions as clear as possible, and we know there’s always room to improve. Your feedback helps us identify where confusion can happen, and we’re constantly working on ways to make the process smoother and easier for future customers.
