We bought a Keurig Duo last Spring
We bought a Keurig Duo last Spring. It started out fine until we started getting dribbles of coffee on counter when we brewed pot coffee, and the carafe would leak on counter pouring coffee. Could never find a way to eliminate this issue. We called support and strangely they sent out an entirely new Duo for this problem. Unfortunately, it did not solve the dribble problem from carafe. Trying a few things found online to no avail I ordered yet another carafe hoping maybe it would have a design improvement. Nope, same old dribble on counter pouring. Now we are dealing with a noisy brewing machine, even after cleaning and not very hot coffee to boot. For a company built around making good coffee I am certainly not impressed by the Duo. I mean, they can't even design a carafe that doesn't leak all over the counter. I cannot remember any coffee maker previous that we have owned that would leak coffee on counter while pouring. We now resort to placing a rag in front of coffee maker, so we don't stain our countertop with coffee. As for the single serve, it makes OK single cup brewed coffee. No doubt the bigger the size you select the weaker the cup of coffee. We have learned that just because Keurig became very popular with the quick brew single cup makers. Doesn't mean they know how to make a good pot of coffee, or good tasting coffee that is hot in general. It's a quick brew system that produces marginal coffee at best. Also, we have hard water and so we do have to descale more frequently. The Keurig descaling is a process too that is more involved than most coffee makers. Keep that in mind as well.
