Two Keurigs Caught Fire
I purchased a Keurig about a year ago, and when I first plugged it in, the heating element immediately caught fire. Keurig replaced the machine, which I appreciated. However, after moving homes a couple of times this year, I finally set up the replacement and the exact same thing happened again; the heating element caught fire as soon as it was plugged in. Customer service told me the machine is now outside the one-year warranty and offered a 50% discount toward purchasing another brewer. Unfortunately, after two machines failing in the same way, I’m not comfortable spending more money on another one. I’ve also noticed that other customers report similar heating element issues with this model, which makes me wonder if it’s a recurring problem. I used to think Keurig made reliable machines, but after this experience (and similar issues my grandmother has had with two of hers), I’ve decided to switch to another brand.
