Yes, I recommend this chair to all with mobility restrictions. I had a stroke that took away my balance and then suffered from CHF that left me short of breath. That being said, the chair allows me more mobility than I had prior. You need not get involved with hitches at all, the chair is light enough to be folded and placed in the trunk. Batteries are airline approved, the unit folds up easily, shifts into nuetral and has a kickstand so it rests on its own. The folks in customer service will make sure you're taken well care of.

I absolutely love my smart chair!! I can lift it by myself. It's also easy to charge, and the batteries last for a very long time.

Great chair but armrests are made of substandard material and controls are to sensitive.

It is a great help for my husband to get around after a stroke.

The chair was touted to be only 50 pounds including batteries but it is over 59 pounds . Further, it is complicated and awkward for the user to fold away because the joystick must be removed and repositioned to use the chair. There are also lots of warnings and cautions about over charging the batteries which is quite a concern since often times charging other equipment can be done overnight. In retrospect I should have purchased a Zinger for my son

I Love my new smart chair!! Service was fast and easy.

Chair would not allow easy entrance or egress unless patient was able to stand and walk on their own. I was not as I am a double amputee and my prosthetics required me to be over them to stand. The KD Smart Chair does not allow tilting or bringing my feet close to my body so that I could stand over my prosthesis. Had to return for a refund.

I am a below the knee amputee. During my transition I have depended on my smart chair, especially when work is being done on my leg and prosthesis. I have found the smart chair easy for me to transport, and even easy enough for my wife to load when necessary , because of the unique folding design. It is great to get out and go anywhere you would normally go to with my chair. The chair is extremely stable on multiple surfaces and has a great battery life. I tell anyone that has interest all about my chair and let them have a test drive. My smart chair gets a double thumbs up from me.
