Hi Harlan, Thank you for taking time to give us a review. We are sorry that time item you ordered did not meet your very unique and specific needs. We have had many people in the orthopedic, rehabilitation, medical fields tell us that this pedal is wonderful for them as it keeps their feet in place while using their stationary bike. However, with that said the item you ordered was not designed for how you were using it, so trying this item out, likely would be a risk for you as it is not being used for its intended purpose as it was not designed for use on a prosthetic leg/foot. Regarding the 'fee' you mentioned, we are willing to give you a full refund on the item, even after you had 'used' it. We only as that you ship the item back to us or we can send you a label to use to send it back, though it would deduct from the refund of the pedal. Unfortunately, shipping is a service that is provided by a 3rd Party, which we have to pay as well; it is independent of what we would like to charge, which is why we keep our pricing on all of our items fair and low. Being a small business, we refuse to roll shipping and other fees into our products so that customers and enjoy our premium products at an affordable price. We do understand that sometimes things do not work out and believe that this is an understandable agreement for all involved.
