I'd heard some great things about Kadence...it was supposed to be the most awesome Wordpress theme with superb support. Well, here's my experience. I'm quite handy with Wordpress, having used it on various websites since 2009. I know my way around. But the way that the developers have created Kadence have made it so opaque and so complex that navigating my way around made me feel dizzy. It is SO complicated. That said, let's be fair. If you want to create a simple, cookie cutter website which looks like every other website out there, knock yourself out. I reckon within the same day you could create a truly fantastic website. But I didn't want my site to look like everybody else's site. I wanted to create something from scratch. Something rare, beautiful and unique....and that's where Kadence falls down unless you are an expert Kadence dev.....which I am not! All I want is to create 5-6 simple but beautifully presented pages and here I am, two weeks in, and I have only managed to create a single holding page. I am currently trying to create a simple contact page and 4 days on, I've still not managed it. Every time I reach out to support, it's always the same poor guy who responds (so maybe there's only one support person?) and it's always 24-36 hours before I get a response and then the response doesn't even address my pretty basic question. I am BEYOND frustrated but having committed to Kadence, I want to go all in and really work out what I'm doing with it because I do believe it's a great system, once you understand how it works. So that's my honest appraisal. If you're happy with a cookie cutter site (which frankly 99% of people probably are), then fill your boots. It's awesome. However, if you want something a bit more bespoke, then if you're time poor either prepare to pay someone to help you build it or if you have a few spare weeks to properly roll your sleeves up and get your hands dirty. Because let me tell you, you've got one hell of a project on your hands.

I meant to give two stars. I purchased all the pro plugins one plugin keeps crashing my site. I tried changing PHP settings and several other things. Solutions, nothing has worked. I filled out the forms with no reply. I cannot use the $100.00, plus I paid for the software

I like Kadence because the design style is beautiful, and the tools are intuitive and easy to learn. There are also plenty of tutorials on YouTube — especially CliftonWP, who provides detailed and extensive guides. I recently purchased Kadence Pro. During use, I often encountered some unexpected bugs, but the support team has always been responsive and dedicated. They usually help me solve issues within one business day, so my work is not delayed and the overall experience remains smooth. I’m giving 4 stars because there’s still room for improvement, and I hope Kadence continues to refine the product.

I liked the previous support ticket submission page better. This one takes a lot longer. However, the help I received was great.

Karla Elaine was very patient and helpful, making useful videos to help me and putting in effort to understand the issues I was facing, over 24 days on a single ticket!! I was out some of the time and she herself, when told that I was going to close the ticket as I had to take a break, volunteered to wait till I returned, and she did! She also promptly forwarded my suggestions to the management, which I very much appreciated. It's four stars, due to me not completing the support issue, but Karla was an excellent help indeed!

Edited 16-Nov-2024 After initially posting a 1-star review, I received a full refund within a couple of days, which I really appreciate. First, I have to acknowledge that their support team generally responds quickly. However, we were never able to figure out the root cause of the issue, which made the product unusable for me. Given the circumstances, it's fair to update my rating. I’m now giving it 4 out of 5 stars. While the initial support experience was below average, I didn’t expect to receive a full refund, and for that, I am very grateful. ------------ Original Review I’m having trouble logging in and I’m getting a lot of errors. I’ve tried reaching out to support, but they haven’t been able to help me cancel my subscription. It’s been over 10 days since I asked for confirmation, and I still haven’t heard back. I’m really frustrated at the moment.
