Called in to get a Power of Attorney…
Called in to get a Power of Attorney document that I received from a law firm in Spain reviewed to ensure that the Spanish translation that's on the document is accurate. The lady that answered the phone said that they don't do that. I asked why and she curtly said that they only do documents that are in English. Totally nonsensical, if they are certified Spanish translators then they should be able to translate the English portion of the document into Spanish. Not sure why not, but she should've offered that.

Dear David, I understand your frustration. Unfortunately, we are unable to certify a translation prepared by a third party. The reason is that the certification affidavit states that the translation was performed by the person certifying it. We can certainly provide you with a certified translation from English into Spanish if that is what you require.
