The velcro strap is not strong enough it allows the dog to scrum out of. Donating to local Human Society. Waste of money.

Hi Paul, I am sorry you had trouble. We had no idea this was an issue. Thank you for your feedback. We are constantly looking for ways to improve our products.

The harness design is great. But will not stay tight. As soon as its put on it slips and loosens. My dog gets right out if it. If these straps that go under to clip were ribbed instead of smooth maybe would stay tight. Good I guess for a dog that dosnt wiggle! My dog is a 14 month old great dane and is still "learning" But she can get out of this harness very quickly.

Hi Sue, I am very sorry you experienced this. I will have our agents reach out to you regarding this issue. It sounds like you received a defective harness.

We were very excited to use this harness when it came. Our pit mix pulls a lot and, after doing a bunch of research, this was the best reviewed and recommended harness for what we needed. HOWEVER - we used it ONCE, and the part on the top that attached the ring to the harness gave way. The stitching came undone. Because of that, it could only be used that one time and it couldn’t be returned due to policy. I’m extremely disapproved as it took almost a month to actually receive and there were no mentions in the reviews of this being an issue

Hi Bekah, We had no knowledge of this. Our harnesses do have a guarantee of 365 days from the date of purchase. If you would have reached out to our team [email protected]. We would have sent you a replacement. If you do still have the harness please send a photo along with the order number.

Bought this harness for my choc lab puppy within couple of days she destroyed it, not impressed with the quality of this product by the price I paid for it, I would not recommend this product.
Response from Joyride HarnessMar 31, 2022
Hi Liliana, I am sorry to hear this. We do not advertise our harness as chew proof. For puppies like yours we do now offer a Lifetime Warranty. That would cover this type of damage for future reference.

I have a boxer/pit mix who is very strong. This harness does not stop her pulling. I was very disappointed.

HI Laura, Sometimes the dog needs a bit more time on the harness, but this article provides a few more tips and tricks on using the side rings and how to curb the pulling: https://joyrideharness.com/blogs/news/1-simple-trick-to-stop-your-dog-from-pulling?fbclid=IwAR310mOX3LPAvXxdEuoZD_b6o0nihvrZjGPmGoEg8UZhcyDTGmBL9XmA_Wg

I was very disappointed that the Xtra Lge I received was no bigger than a Large I had from another brand name harness. The fact that I could not even exchange it or get a credit is terrible customer service! Will not shop joyride harness again. I got a reply stating they do offer exchanges had reached out to their team, but I already had.
Response from Joyride HarnessMar 31, 2022
Hi Michele, We do offer exchanges on items that are in like new condition. Our return policy states this on our website. Or if you would have reached out to our team [email protected]. We could have advised you how to set up a return/exchange.

I have a ten pound dog with noise sensitivity. This harness for him came with a clasp I think must also be used on 50-60 lb dogs, and makes a very loud ‘CLICK’. When I contacted customer service to get a refund or a resolution, I got a ‘stock’ reply explaining how to make my dog desensitized to the noise. Really? He’s 11, I’ve been trying for 8 years since I got him. The harness is now in a donation bin. What a waste of money. Sorry. ***I just read the reply from the company. They did NOT reply multiple times. They replied once, not addressing my issue with the huge clasp but instead telling me how to acclimate my dog to the noise. The also told me how to return it, all at my own expense. Honestly, I wss as noted this to be a positive purchase/experience but it was not

My dog slipped out of his harness. He ran off into the woods. We were luckily able to find him after an hour. Very unsafe product!
Response from Joyride HarnessMar 31, 2022
Hi Ann, Firstly, we are sorry to hear that this happened. We are all also pet and dog owners and understand how scary that must have been. While we cannot guarantee it's Houdini-proof as some dogs are just too clever for their own good, it should be very hard to escape out of if properly sized and fitted. We recommend only about a finger width or two of space beneath that belly strap for a nice, snug fit! Also ensure it is secured behind the widest area of their ribs rather than the front legs only. To achieve that, you can loosen the front Velcro chest strap as needed, so the harness sits further back on the dog. This should eliminate their ability to slip out. Sometimes one minor adjustment can make a big difference! For a true escape artist, you might consider a "safety strap" or "safety cord" option that attaches to a collar and the leash for added security for wriggly pups. It's just a backup safety precaution that you can pair with our harness for peace of mind.
