The harness itself appeared to be fine…
The harness itself appeared to be fine - good construction. Unfortunately, my 14 month Brittany chewed through the across-the-chest harness strap in 15 minutes after I put it on him. No joke!

I ordered a harness for my Jack Russell. She fit squarely into a Small based on the size chart, but the harness was so bulky and the belly strap was ridiculously wide and chunky for a 15 lb dog. She could wear it but it wasn’t comfortable and she looked silly. Also, the requirement that the harness be free from any dog hair for returns is annoying. Short-haired dogs shed and the harness could look clean and still have hair hiding on it. You sell dog harnesses, so you should expect a little hair.

This harness seems well constructed, but for some reason my pup is terrified of it. When I put it on my dog, he freezes and shakes and will not move at all. I've tried this several times. Now I can't even get my dog to approach it, even if I put treats on it. My dog is a mini/toy Australian shepherd. Perhaps it is too bulky and heavy for him. I am not sure what it is because he will wear other harnesses just fine.

The harness was great at first. Then it got too loose and the metal ring kept falling off and the leash fell off.

Customer service is great, the product concept is great but I’m on my 2nd (cs replaced the first) that didn’t last more than 3 weeks. Still usable but the fabric frayed in same spot on both, not something I’d expect at this price point. If not for this issue I’d give it 5 stars

The order came quickly and was fine, but my dog only weighs 18 pounds, and the XS harness is too small, but the small hardness has massive buckles that rub on his little legs, so he refuses to wear it. Not sure why the buckle is so huge when it’s for a small dog… not my favorite. I regret purchasing.

When I ordered a size too large, I was appreciative that customer service allowed me to exchange even though I’d taken off the tags. Unfortunately, the harness didn’t work well for me. Our one dog had skin worn off of his elbows and in one of his armpits, and he’s not the one that pulls. Our other dog a size larger (and we tried the larger harness on the smaller dog and it was too large, so it didn’t seem to be a fit issue) would get one arm out consistently on walks and really didn’t deter him from pulling. The harness would need to be so tight to actually change the direction he’s walking, these just didn’t work well for either dog, so I returned both.

Joyride harnesses are too bulky / too much material on top and buckles / clips r too big under dogs arms so r too uncomfortable.
