This harness is amazing and pulling stops immediately. It is a bit stiff and bulky on a 8 LB dog. Strap around his belly does not stay snug.

Hi Sharon, The buckles on our harnesses, especially in larger sizes, are quite hefty and we realize they can require a bit of strength to latch/unlatch. That’s to hold up to stronger dogs that pull or are prone to lunging when distracted. We would never want that buckle to randomly release, so that “stiffness” is necessary to keep them secure. Your dog’s safety is of the utmost importance to us and our buckles need to hold up to that notion.We wish we had more to offer, but aside from getting used to the motion of latching and unlatching that buckle, we don’t have any added tips, unfortunately. If you find that just isn’t working out for you due to the difficulty, please keep the return policy in mind as we do want you to be happy with your purchase.

I like the harness, but the buckle needs to be adjustable on both sides. The buckle is placed at the back of the leg and rubs the armpit area.

This is good seatbelt! It kept my dog in place in the front seat while I ran into the store. On a different occasion I put my dog in the back seat I'm not sure if she stepped on the seatbelt base where it clicks in or I didn't click it in tight but she was a Houdini and was sitting in the front seat when I came back from running errands.

HI Jeannie, Sometimes dogs are too smart for their own good. I would look into a child lock for that seatbelt attachment. This would help them not unclicking the seatbelt and getting loose.

Initial order arrived swiftly; tried them on my dogs and immediately mailed back the same day for size exchange. The replacements took an awfully long time to arrive but, they’re here and they work. One concern that I have is the placement of the very large buckle. There is not any harness padding beneath it so I am very worried about accidentally pinching my dogs skin when clipping it together. I also think that it may bother them or be uncomfortable at the buckle. So far they seem fine.

Harness is very sturdy and well made. I have a very strong willed Aussie that just turned a year old. It doesn’t stop her from pulling, which is what I believed it was supposed to do. I still use it because it’s better than a choke chain.

When we ordered the harness that we really wanted/needed--a popup said we could order a second for half price. So, we decided to get one for our older/bigger dog. I picked a nice colorful rainbow one and paid for them both. Then--I looked at the confirmation and it showed a blue plaid one as our second one! As soon as I saw that (immediately) I sent an email hoping they would fix the error before shipping. But, no reply--so I sent another email because I was concerned that the company wasn't legitimate--or they should surely respond to my email. By the time they did reply, it was too late and they just said that we could return the wrong colored one. I don't like to return things and it wasn't the end of the world, but we wouldn't have purchased the second one if we knew only Blue plaid was available.
