It’s very disappointing to see such a substantial decline in the quality of your merchandise since I began purchasing from you several years ago. This most recent dress is the clearest example. It was marked final sale, and based on the listed measurements, a medium should have fit me. Instead, it runs about a size and a half to two sizes larger than a typical medium. The other medium dress I ordered is also noticeably oversized.
Because the dress was final sale, you won’t accept a return, even though the tags are still attached. The issue is that the sizing was not accurately represented; significant sizing differences should be clearly disclosed. Unfortunately, the quality of the dresses has declined as well, and the knit sweater I purchased feels cheaply made.
I hadn’t planned to return the rest of my order, but after the way customer service handled my concerns, I’ve decided to return what I can and donate the dress to a good cause. I’m disappointed in both the products and the customer service.

Hi Megan!
We would like to clarify the circumstances surrounding your experience, as our team made several efforts to assist you and accommodate your concerns, including going beyond our standard return policy.
The product page for the dress specifically states, “This style runs big. If you're between sizes, we recommend sizing down.” This information was provided to help customers select the most appropriate size before purchasing. We also provide garment measurements and sizing information on our product pages to help customers make informed decisions. We understand that fit can be subjective, but the information regarding this style's fit was disclosed before the order was placed.
Additionally, the dress was marked Final Sale, which means it is not eligible for a return under our standard policy, even if the tags remain attached. These terms are established to ensure consistency for all customers purchasing Final Sale merchandise.
That said, our Customer Care team did not simply stop at explaining the policy. We went beyond our standard terms and secured a one-time exception to allow you to return the item, even though it was not ordinarily eligible. This accommodation was offered specifically to help address your concerns and find a possible resolution.
We believe it is important to recognize the efforts our team made throughout this interaction. Our representatives worked with you on your requests, reviewed the applicable product information, explained the policy, and pursued an exception outside the usual return guidelines. While we cannot guarantee that every concern will result in the outcome a customer initially wants, we remain committed to exploring reasonable solutions whenever possible.
We respect your right to share your opinion about our products, and we take feedback regarding fit and quality seriously. However, we also believe the full context matters. In this case, the fit guidance was disclosed on the product page, the Final Sale restriction applied to the purchase, and our team still made an additional effort to accommodate your request beyond what our standard policy required.

Shady
Im leaving another review so people are aware that this company has repeatedly tried to flag my bad review to have it removed. This is another example of how shady this company truly is. I left a completely honest review of my bad experience and they're trying to have it removed.
Response from JoyfolieAug 20, 2026
We’d like to clarify how the review reporting process works, as businesses do not have the ability to independently delete or remove reviews from Trustpilot.
Trustpilot provides reporting tools that allow content to be flagged when there is a concern that it may not comply with the platform’s guidelines. When a review is flagged, Trustpilot—not Joyfolie—reviews the content and independently determines whether it meets their guidelines and whether any action is appropriate. Flagging a review does not automatically result in its removal.
We fully recognize that customers are entitled to share both positive and negative experiences, and a review being negative alone is not a reason for it to be removed. At the same time, businesses are permitted to use the reporting tools provided by the platform when there is a concern about whether content complies with Trustpilot’s guidelines.
We believe it is important to distinguish between reporting content for independent review and having the ability to remove that content ourselves. The final decision regarding whether a review remains published belongs to Trustpilot.
We respect every customer’s right to express their experience and opinion, just as we reserve the right to respond, provide clarification, and appropriately use the tools made available to businesses by the review platform.

Beware of returns policy
What it feels like talking to their Customer Service…..sorry but not sorry.
That’s pretty much what you get. I suggest you dont get the size wrong, don’t have any issues and don’t wait too long to return because they literally don’t seem to care at all. They took my money as a “DONATION” because the dress is unusable by me and no option to return or get a refund. The email they sent solved nothing. Left me with a a dress that is now as useful as a cloth paperweight that I feel makes me look like a sad child from the Middle Ages because it HANGS on you due to the size.….I felt completely gaslight by the response I got back.
Sadly, even though I have ordered with them before, I have no respect places with a very unreasonable return policy. As a business, you need to try and be somewhat accommodating with returns. I will spend money elsewhere. And trying to report my review multiple times to have it removed when I am simply comparing how it felt working with this company says all you need to know.
UPDATE:
I don’t even remotely have any interest in reading whatever they decided to write in response to this. They must know that their policies are not well communicated, I have even read on here other return stories that are similar. So I have no interest in their “We are so sorry”. NO THEY DON'T SEEM TO BE SORRY. The return and exchange policy does not offer much flexability to their customers. Half their items are on sale and the return section is extremely confusing for sale item returns, and then when people have a problem, they try to be as nice as possible, but still do not appear care. I pretty much have no use for the dress. It looks like a sack of potatoes on me.
Don’t take my word for it, on their website look at all of the teeny tiny separate specifications and details that they have for returns and exchanges. It’s absolutely ridiculous. It is almost impossible to decipher the stereo instructions that are their sales returns and exchanges. Which just tells you all you need to know.!!
UPDATE AGAIN:
I am just guessing here, because my review was not taken down anfter being reported, they edited their response. And once again, I do not care what they have to say to try to defend their returns policy. I will not read it and I suggest you don’t either. I feel It is not a customer friendly return policy and it is confusing. I feel personally, that is deceptive. If one who is reading this review was also to go to other places other than their website, and read reviews. I believe you would find similar complaints.
Response from JoyfolieAug 17, 2026
We understand that our return policy did not provide the flexibility you were hoping for, and we have reviewed your correspondence with our Customer Care team to provide additional context regarding your purchase.
While you have stated that you do not intend to read our response, we will still provide one. When concerns are raised publicly about our policies, customer service, and how a purchase was handled, we believe it is important to provide the relevant facts and context for transparency. Our intention is not to change your personal opinion, but to ensure the circumstances are accurately represented for anyone reading this review.
The dress purchased was designated as a Final Sale item, meaning it is not eligible for return or exchange. We understand that you feel this was not communicated clearly enough. However, the Final Sale designation appears on the product page directly below the Add to Cart button, making the item's status available before purchase. Complete terms regarding Final Sale, discounted, and promotional merchandise are also available on our dedicated Return Policy page.
Like other online retailers, we maintain a separate policy page because it is not practical to reproduce every return and exchange condition on every page of a website. Different purchase types have different eligibility requirements, which is why a comprehensive policy page exists. At the same time, important product-specific information such as the Final Sale designation is displayed directly on the applicable product page.
It is also important to explain why Final Sale merchandise has different terms. Final Sale items are significantly marked down, often to a fraction of their original retail price. In this case, the dress was offered for less than half of its original price. If it were being sold under our standard return and exchange terms, it would not have been offered at that same deeply discounted price. The reduced price and Final Sale restriction are therefore connected.
These guidelines allow us to offer deeper markdowns while maintaining consistent standards for customers who purchase under the same conditions. Making exceptions after a Final Sale purchase would mean applying different terms to customers who purchased merchandise under the same stated policy.
We recognize that the dress did not fit as expected. However, fit can vary between styles and individuals, and an item not fitting does not change the Final Sale terms under which it was purchased. To help customers make informed sizing decisions, each product has its own garment measurements available on the product page. Because measurements and silhouettes vary between designs, we recommend reviewing the specific garment measurements before ordering, particularly for Final Sale purchases. Our Customer Care team is also available to assist with sizing questions before an order is placed.
When you contacted us, our team reviewed your order and explained why the return could not be accepted. Providing that information was not intended to dismiss or minimize your concerns. While receiving an answer you disagree with can be frustrating, our team responded according to the terms associated with the purchase.
We also want to clarify that we did not take your payment as a “donation.” The dress was purchased at a significantly reduced Final Sale price and fulfilled as ordered. The fact that the fit ultimately did not work does not make an otherwise Final Sale purchase eligible for return.
The item's Final Sale status, garment measurements, and applicable return terms were available before purchase, and our Customer Care team provided the same information when you contacted us. We have followed the terms that applied to the item at the time of purchase and provided the available information and assistance accordingly.

The $0 Return: How Joyfolie Erases Store Credit on Returned Items
If I could give this company 1 million negative stars I would. I returned physical items I paid real money for. Joyfolie issued "store credit," but quietly expired it after just 60 days. Now they’ve kept BOTH my returned merchandise and my money!
When called out, they claimed store credit on sale items is a "promotional credit" so they can delete your balance. Under the Federal CARD Act (12 CFR § 1005.20), store credits for returned goods cannot legally expire in less than 5 years.
Classifying customer return value as an expiring "promo" to keep people's money is a HUGE red flag! Do NOT shop with this company anymore! I shared my experience and they deleted every single comment, including other peoples comments.
Response from JoyfolieAug 4, 2026
We're sorry to hear that you remain disappointed with your experience. We have already addressed your concerns directly via email and provided a detailed explanation of our store credit policy.
We understand that you have a different interpretation of the laws you referenced. However, based on the applicable legal framework, including the guidance surrounding 12 CFR § 1005.20, we believe our policy complies with the laws that apply to our business. We would not implement or maintain a policy that we believe violates applicable federal or state regulations.
Although your store credit had already expired approximately 8 months ago, we reviewed your case once more and, as a gesture of goodwill, offered a one-time courtesy exception by temporarily reinstating your store credit so you would have another opportunity to use it. Since extending that exception, we have not received any further response from you via email regarding the offer.
We recognize that we may not agree on the interpretation of the applicable law, but we remain committed to applying our policies consistently and treating every customer fairly. We appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to review your concerns.

Bad business
Don’t waste your money with this company. I purchased from them once and received a dress that is poorly made and does not fit. Customer service does not make any effort to try to develop returning customers. Will be recycling the dress. Would be too embarrassed to gift this to somebody.
Response from JoyfolieJul 7, 2026
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations.
We understand how disappointing it can be when an item doesn’t work out as hoped. While we strive to offer quality products and provide helpful support to every customer, we recognize that experiences and fit can vary.
We appreciate you sharing your perspective, as feedback helps us continue to improve. If there’s anything we can still assist you with, we’d be happy to review your concerns further if you reach out to our customer support team with your order details.
Thank you for your feedback, and we wish you all the best.

Total Scam Alert: Joyfolie’s ‘Hassle-Free Returns’ Add-On Is Completely Fake
This was one of the most frustrating online shopping experiences I’ve had.
Joyfolie constantly advertises sales and discounts, but what many customers may not realize is that those discounts can severely limit your ability to receive a refund. Since nearly everything on the site is discounted, this effectively leaves many customers with little to no practical refund option.
What I find particularly misleading is the company’s “Hassle-Free Returns” add-on. I paid an extra $4.99 believing it would protect me if I needed to return an item. Instead, I discovered that I was limited to an exchange rather than a refund. When the exchanged item also didn’t work out, I was still unable to simply return the purchase and get my money back.
In my opinion, charging customers extra for return protection while restricting refunds is deceptive. The name “Hassle-Free Returns” creates an expectation that customers can easily return items, when the reality is far more restrictive.
Had I known the true limitations of the return policy before ordering, I never would have made a purchase. Customers should carefully read every detail of the return policy before spending their money because the marketing and the actual return experience are not the same thing.
I will not shop with Joyfolie again and cannot recommend the company based on my experience.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear you feel this way and truly understand your frustration. We’d like to respectfully clarify a few points regarding your experience to ensure accuracy.
The Checkout+ protection ($4.99) you purchased is clearly outlined on our website as providing free return shipping on eligible items along with package protection for items that are lost, stolen, or damaged in transit. It does not change or override our standard return policy eligibility rules.
We always make every effort to ensure our policies are clearly stated and accessible on our website. The terms regarding promotional purchases and return eligibility are also outlined in Section 2 of our Return Policy, which is available for review at any time. Additionally, this information was also communicated to you via email during our support correspondence while your case was being reviewed.
We would also like to note that your review was submitted while your case was still actively being handled and before a final resolution had been provided. At that time, our team was still working on your request, and we were able to later secure a one-time exception approval in line with what you had asked for.
We also want to emphasize that our team has been actively communicating and supporting you throughout this process to ensure you were not left without options, even when the item had already reached its exchange limitations. We value every customer experience and always aim to provide support wherever we are able to do so within our policies.
We sincerely hope this resolution helps improve your experience with us, and that it reflects our continued effort to support our customers even in more complex situations. We also hope this may help positively reconsider your experience with us moving forward.

My husband bought me two gorgeous…
My husband bought me two gorgeous dresses from Joyfolie. However when I decided to purchase a dress from them myself on May 9th during their Mother's day sale. Unfortuantely it did not fit me. I have been corresponding with the customer service. You are allowed 30 days with tags on the dress in order to return the item. Because I am 2 days from the 30 day return they will not permit me to return this purchase!!! This was NOT a Joyful experience and I will never purchase from this company again.
Response from JoyfolieJun 26, 2026
We’re truly sorry to hear that your experience was disappointing. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify the situation.
Just to clarify, our return policy requires that returned items be received within 30 days of the purchase date, not simply that the return request be submitted within that timeframe. Your order was placed on May 8, meaning the return window closed on June 7. When you contacted us on June 5, we explained via email that, based on standard shipping transit times, the return would not arrive within the required return window.
We always make every effort to ensure that our policies are complete, clearly stated, and readily available on our website so customers can review them before making a purchase. We also explained these policy details during our email correspondence.
While your case was under review, we worked to see if an exception could be made. In fact, the day before this review was posted, we obtained approval for a one-time exception to allow your return as requested. We reached out to let you know this good news, but unfortunately, we did not receive a response before this review was submitted.
We also want to emphasize that our team remained actively engaged throughout the process to ensure you were not left without options. We value every customer experience and always strive to provide assistance wherever we can within our policies. In this case, we went beyond our standard policy by obtaining a one-time exception in an effort to help resolve your concern.
We sincerely hope this additional context reflects our commitment to supporting our customers, even in situations where a request falls outside our standard policy. We appreciate your feedback and hope you'll consider the efforts our team made to reach a positive resolution.

Buyer beware- poor customer service
Buyer beware. I ordered a pair of boots to wear with my wedding dress. When I got them in, they were too large so I requested to exchange them for a smaller size. They issued me a return label and gave me ‘a week’ window to return them in. The last day of the return window was on a Saturday, which is when I planned to send them because I had a busy work week. That morning I got an email saying they would no longer accept the return because I had not returned them inside the window. I had to request another label in order to send them back. Once they received my return, they sent me an email with a picture of the bottom of the boots saying that I had worn the boots. I did not wear the boots except to try them on and walk around long enough to decide they were too big. I literally took maybe 10 steps wearing them in the room I tried them on in. While they honored the return this time, I will not be purchasing from them again as I would prefer to avoid having to go through this situation with them again. It was an incredible hassle to get the return completed and do not understand the purpose of accusing me of wearing boots that I obviously did not wear out. After reading other reviews here for this company I’m convinced that my choice to not buy anything else from their site is a smart one. Very poor customer service.
