My Daughter was so excited for this experience and she was not disappointed. From the initial introduction, to the week at camp, the Outset staff has been awesome. Since returning home she has provided me with a list of things she has learned and created a list of action items for next time. I’m so grateful that we had this opportunity and look forward to sharing it with many others. I highly recommend this program as a great introduction to medicine.

Really great experience Our daughter shared how much she learned and how much fun she had learning the entire week of camp. The Outset team was great at providing up to date communication from start to finish. Lawson and his staff were actively engaged and offered tremendous support and communicated actively when our child had an allergic reaction on day 2. Thank you!!!

Perfect mix of academic advice, process for starting a medical career to hands on simulations in the hospital. Additionally, it was great to have so many activities outside of the classroom to allow UNC college life to be experienced.

Our son felt the experience at Outset was amazing. He has a much better sense of what he needs to do to pursue pre-med and what to expect in a medical career. The Outset team was very organized and incorporated a range of enjoyable activities outside of lectures. We highly recommend this camp to any student interested in medicine.

Our daughter had a wonderful time at Outset. It was just the right mix of lectures, hands-on training, and fun. She came back with so much knowledge of what is needed to get into pre-med/medical school and how she can prepare, as well as new ideas of areas she might want to specialize in one day. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this program.

I think that Outset was an outstanding experience based upon the feedback we received from our daughter. She has been to many academic and athletic camps and she has noted that it has been the best one. The access to medical professional, the campus tours, and the professionalism from the counselors and camp staff was outstanding. Any parents who has a child who is interested in the medical profession should sign their child for this opportunity. My daughter enjoyed the experience and came back with a much better understanding and passion for a career in medicine. Thanks Outset for putting together a great camp!!!!

For my daughter, it was like fulfilling a dream to be there. Thank you for making those special days that she shared with people like those who organize this program in what she has wanted to involve since she was a child. If they were so pleasant for people who are interested in medicine, I want to tell them to take advantage of this experience because my daughter arrived with more energy to move forward with her goal of being a doctor thanks to all the experiences you shared with her thanks to everyone who is involved in this program thank you for your attention to the youth and beginning to guide them so that they can continue forward hopefully and that this program continue to help more young people make their decision as it helped my daughter thanks to everyone who participates in the organization for this program
