Absolutely avoid at all cost - if you join, there will be many costs but no care. Here is my experience:
I joined MIDI knowing I would pay out of pocket. MIDI virtually stole hundreds of dollars from me as well as many many hours of my time and I have received nothing in return.
As others have written, communication from MIDI is nonexistent. It takes them days to reply to an email. Phone calls are not answered. The voicemail on the phone says to send an email- which then takes days for someone to write back without a solution.
My “care provider” wrote me a prescription but did not give the pharmacy all the information they needed to fill it. The pharmacy could not get through to anyone at MIDI to get the information.
For whatever reason, MIDI decided to transfer my prescription to another pharmacy then another. The 3rd pharmacy is STILL waiting for information from MIDI. Still. They can’t reach anyone at MIDI to provide them with the information they need.
Needless to say- my prescription is not filled and I’m out $800+. This is completely unacceptable. Do not use MIDI.

Avoid MIDI at ALL costs
Deceptive billing practices and complaints all over. They do not accept most major ppo insurance plans in each state AND they don’t have live help and actual representatives. Emails and call backs take days on end. I couldn’t cancel without paying an exorbitant cancellation fee either. I have filed a complaint with the BBB also.
Response from Midi HealthAug 16, 2024
Hi Kelli! Thank you for proving us with your feedback. We are so sorry to hear this is how your experience with Midi has been. We have requested some information from you so the appropriate team members can follow up with you directly.

No HIPAA compliant Informed Consent Agreement provided for services
I requested a copy of HIPAA compliant agreement showing 'informed consent' to charges indicated and I was never sent this.
Their technology does not even work and they use technology as a protective measure between the and consumers (i.e. patients looking for help).
This is predatory.
Dr whom I met with did call me by phone after I sent her multiple messages requesting agreement and informed consent proof, however, (Cheryl Miller) and she indicated that she would fully cancel my appointment and that I WOULD NOT BE CHARGED, as I did not agree to any of it ahead of time. I thought that was truly amazing...until
That never happened as I was in fact billed 1 week later (still with no proof of my informed consent or agreement to charges) on behalf of a Dr. Kathleen Jordan (whom I never met or even corresponded with).
There is no response to emails, nobody answers the phone and if they do, they have to somehow be the intermediary between you and your provider and apparently zero accountability for what was communicated to me over the phone only by Cheryl Miller.
How is this service even legal? Let alone ethical?
Naturally I will be copying and pasting all of this into a letter to Government Agencies which should be regulating this sort of thing as I can honestly see this type of business doing more harm than it does good, given the nature of what it is purporting to try to help (in a landscape where the medical industry is already so far lacking in support and available services).
This is a PREDATORY medical practice and business model that should not be allowed to function without greater oversight.

Don't bother
Don't bother. The Dr. Is very nice, however, no one communicates. No one answers emails on the portal regarding billing. The assistants answer the emails that you write to the Dr. regarding mendications and medical questions, they do not read and comprehend the information correclly therefore causing multiple emails and delays in getting any answers.
update: reply on the negative review, but no response from billing or customer service. No replay to emails, no replay to portal messages, no return phone calls. No resolution, but they will send you that invoice every week. Don't let them fool you.

I felt rushed and a burden on my nurse practitioner as a first time patient. Midihealth and their provider are more interedted in getting the numbers and the payments . They also charge for any i mean any matter such as if you want progesterone in addition to your estrogen. I didn’t feel like my provider cared at all. I have not gone back.

Billing / Insurance / Responsiveness Issues
I am so frustrated with this company. I was looking for a partner in my perimenopause journey and I selected the wrong company.
I have not had much experience yet with the health care service providers yet because I’ve been mired down with the billing / insurance team. My initial appointment was just shy of a month ago and they’re still trying to figure out coverage.
The company also has communication and responsiveness problems. The portal they use for scheduling appointments, messaging, etc. is difficult to use and doesn’t work well. Their auto-reply when a patient submits a message reads that the company will reply in 2 business days. They do not honor that statement. In general, I’ve waited and waited for them to reply to me and typically have to follow-up with the company, sometimes many times, to get a question answered or to get movement on a request. Responses are far from clear and typically generates more questions which starts the frustrating communication loop all over again.
I submitted my insurance information shortly after my initial visit and was told it would be forwarded to the billing department or the billing department would reach out to me. I don’t think my information was ever forwarded. I waited and waited for someone to reach out, but never heard anything, so I followed up. I was asked for my insurance information again. I submitted images of the front and back of my card through their portal. A week goes by and I heard nothing, so I followed up again. They asked for my insurance information again and directed me to a portal to submit my information again. Finally, I was told that my insurance would cover my initial consultation. This whole process took from July 11th to August 1st.
That seemed to finally clear up the coverage issue, so I messaged to ask when I could expect communication regrading the next steps in my healthcare plan or when I could expect the lab I discussed with my LNP to be ordered. No response again. This time I only waited for three business days to lapse before reaching out again to try and get the process back on track. At that point I was thanked for reaching out regarding my prior authorization and told to order the lab myself. I asked for clarification as I was told my initial consultation was covered. I assume the prior authorization is for the lab and assume that I should wait for the prior authorization to come through before scheduling it, but who knows because the company isn’t clear in its replies and who knows if someone from the company will ever respond. I sent another follow-up this morning. We’ll see.
I have been told that the billing team is understaffed and down to three people or so. Understand the resource problem, but perhaps stop accepting new patients until you can adequately service them all.
If you’re looking to explore treatment for perimenopause symptoms or anything else, I would seek out another company that offers those services. Coming to this company will only add to perimenopause frustrations. The company certainly is not a partner in the way it holds itself out to be.

I received no help on how to set up my health insurance information in the media account portal and was slapped a charge of $250 when I have a really good health insurance. The Customer Service via email was useless and kept sending me repetitive information even after I told them that my issue was not resolved.
Response from Midi HealthAug 5, 2024
Hello Pritika! Thank you so much for providing us with your feedback. We are happy to see that our support team got your insurance added to your profile and the issue has been resolved. We apologize for the delay in assistance. Thank you!

Deceptive business practices
Seems like a pattern. My provider was great, but like many others, i reveived multiple, and i mean multiple emails stating I had a bill, but no email ever telling me my insurance.....PPO was not accepted. Even though their website stated it was. $250 bill will multiple daily reminders and never an email from their non existing insurance department telling me they didnt accept my insurance. You should remove the claim that you even take insurance, that's obviously a flat out lie. Convenient that they billed me 2 days after my visit, didn't even try to bill my insurance. Shady business practices for sure. Headed to BBB to report there as well.
Response from Midi HealthAug 5, 2024
Hi Lisa! We are sorry to hear this was your experience. It looks like your insurance was incorrectly marked as an HMO plan when you have a PPO plan. Our billing team fixed this issue and resubmitted your bill to insurance which covered the entire cost of the visit. Again, we are very sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you!
