DO NOT USE MIDI
I had my first appointment with Midi the end of June, 2025. The NP I met with changed both of my HRT prescriptions and I stopped sleeping within a matter of days. With an upcomming vacation planned the first week of July, I reached out concerned about my ability to sleep. The NP prescribed Trazodone. When I went to pick it up at the pharmacy, the pharmacist noted that the instuctions on the bottle were very high for insomnia and recommended that I significantly reduce the dosage. I took the reduced dosage the night of 7/1 and spent the next 2 days unable to do much more than sleep. Id spend my vacation with lasting nausea and severe headaches. I reached out to Midi when I got back from vacation and was told that the pharmacy printed the wrong instuctions on the bottle and that they were at fault. When I questioned this and the dosage, I was told a new story about a system error by Midi, additional protocols not being followed by the pharmacy and told that I " needed to get my medical information from a reliable source,if I choose to question their methods and dosage." I not only work with hospitals all over the country, I had the RX instructions reviewed by another Dr. who told me that Trazodone is not recommended for insomnia by the AMA and that the pharmacist likely saved my life. Had I taken the medication as prescribed on the bottle it wouldve resulted in an overdose and hospitalization. As it turns out, the starter dose for insomnia is 25mg. Not the 200 that Midi recommended. The NP from Midi took no accountability for the error, blamed thepharmacy repeatedly and disregarded the severity of the issue, choosing instead to demean me. I was also told that the concern was escalated to Midi leadership, who never contacted me. Please DO NOT USE MIDI HEALTH. Update 7/30/25: Midi did reach out about my concerns..through an auto-generated form and then 2 templated emails that said the same thing almost verbatem. Midi should take concerns seriously and the fact that they address things with auto-generated forms and templates reiterates that true patient care is of less concern than image and revenue.
