Nice idea, but lackluster follow-through
The communication between appointments wasn't great. I sent an email to the provider, received a "We are forwarding your message" response, and then got a "How'd we do?" survey, as if the work was done. They also acknowledge the nationwide shortage of estradiol patches (partially caused--or at least not helped--by the popularity of clinics like MIDI) but their advice is "Call different pharmacies." I found an online pharmacy that required a different kind of uploaded prescription (email or fax) and they weren't able to do that. During the appointment the provider said she could email it directly to me, but then I heard nothing. After I reached out to request it, I was given a flat "We don't do that" (after the provider said she could--and did not let me know otherwise). Recognizing that there's a shortage (I was first told about it by my MIDI clinician! They know!), they need to be even a little flexible about how to get prescriptions to people! The appointments themselves were good, and I appreciated the fact that they ordered comprehensive blood tests. But if I can't get a prescription filled due to their inflexibility I will just ask my regular provider for it and stop paying a special clinic. It may be getting too big for its capacities.
