They cancel every single appointment a minimum of 7-15 times and then auto rebook you to another arbitrary time and date with a different person assuming you can drop everything and continually accommodate- and then it gets cancelled again. I have never experienced anything like this. Go to a primary care doctor instead.

Genuinely the worst customer service I've ever experienced
Practitioners quitting, orders being sent to Labs that don't exist, then doing my own footwork to find a lab and they still can't manage to send in the orders correctly, do more footwork getting them to send them in and remind them there are two sets of orders, they magically only send in one, I've wasted 4 months of my life attempting to get treatment with these people.

Horrible company full of incompetent…
Horrible company full of incompetent people. Several mistakes in a row, paired with lack of communication and an inability to reach a human, have resulted in quite a bit of pain and suffering. HRT is awesome, but choose a different provider.

I feel completely scammed
I feel completely scammed. I contacted Midi health I paid out of pocket. I discussed what was going on with the clinician and I was informed that estrogen and progesterone were what I need. I saw a second opinion and in fact what I needed to be started on was testosterone. I inquired with the clinician about starting testosterone and I was then informed she was not legally able to prescribe it. I therefore had to schedule a second appointment if I thought I needed testosterone and they would have to assign me a different clinicians/dea-certified. So if you contact mehealth you are going to be prescribed estrogen and progesterone on a blanket program. It is not going to be specific to your womanly needs it's going to be a way to really you in, get a second appointment. And if you don't know the right questions to ask you are not going to be prescribed the right hormones. I went back and forth with emails discussing with a customer service representative who made it clear to me that I should have paid attention that I was going to be meeting with a clinician. Okay. So if you're seeking hormone therapy to your specific needs you're going to get the same hormone therapy every single other inquirer on the internet is getting. To me this is complete malpractice. After seeking a second opinion they said why would they start you on estrogen and progesterone based off of what you're telling me and not start you on testosterone. Plus why are they doing all of this without even seeking a baseline blood work. Yes blood work does not give accurate hormone levels but you do need a baseline because when you start your hormones and you get your blood work done again you want to make sure your baselines are not out of whack. I'm not talking about your hormones being tested with the blood I'm talking about your baseline blood work. Please do not pay out of pocket to midi health. Take your time, be patient and meet with somebody who is a qualified GYN that understands hormone replacement therapy and isn't some social media hoopla. I requested a refund when I realized that I had not met with a qualified technician that is capable of prescribing all the hormones. I received a response email that was quite insulting that I should have paid attention to the small print. Don't use Midi health! They're not interested in your health they're interested in your pocketbook.

Incredibly disheartening care
I had an incredibly disheartening experience with Midi Health and strongly encourage women seeking hormone care to be extremely cautious or consider going elsewhere. You must be prepared to advocate for yourself and manage your care largely without support.
From the start, I made it very clear that I was specifically seeking a doctor licensed to provide testosterone care in my state. I even sent an email explicitly requesting this. Despite that, I was scheduled with a provider who legally could not prescribe testosterone. Even after I mentioned it at the beginning of the appointment, I was not informed of this until the very end of the visit.
The MD herself was apologetic and clearly embarrassed. She openly admitted this was a flaw in their system, but said there was nothing she could do to fix it.
She explained that while she could prescribe my estrogen and progesterone, I would need to book a completely separate appointment with another provider for testosterone. Even more frustrating, if I were approved for testosterone by that second provider, that provider would not be allowed to manage my estrogen and progesterone therapy. In other words, because of Midi’s scheduling error, patients like me are expected to double-book with two separate providers to manage hormone care. This includes follow-up visits throughout the year, which translates into a double investment of both time and money. I was dumbstruck as the MD sheepishly clarified this as I was certian it was a misunderstanding.
Communication was also frustratingly inefficient. It often took two or three follow-ups just to receive a reply. When I finally did hear back, the response was dismissive, essentially communicating, “Well, nobody is guaranteed testosterone.” The only reason I sought care through Midi was to pursue testosterone treatment. That was clearly communicated from the beginning, yet it felt completely disregarded.
I had already been approved for testosterone care elsewhere. I chose Midi because I believed it would simplify the process and make dosing easier and more consistent. Instead, I walked away feeling like I encountered a fragmented, inefficient system that created more problems than it solved.
This experience reinforced everything people say about the failures of for-profit healthcare. Midi simply felt like another layer of that brokenness.
What made the experience especially disappointing was how profoundly disconnected it felt from Midi’s own mission statement, especially: “To help women feel strong and healthy through a critical chapter of their lives and careers” and “to make sure every woman feels seen, heard, and understood.” Unfortunately, my experience felt like the exact opposite.
Buyer beware.

Ask about the age restrictions first, then skip the mental health questions. They will charge for every thing.
Given my age, I was informed that I cannot receive assistance from Midi. Yet, the conversation continued with the mental health questions. Now, I am expected to pay $30 for the screening and an additional $19.95 for a new patient telehealth call. The insurance has already paid $180. Total cost of $230. If you know I am too old, let's start there. Do not continue to just get paid. Is this what patient care has come to???

Incompetent doctor
The doctor Mary Holstrom told me she would send a referral for an online endocrine and she never did. I asked her three times and received no response.
I had several appointments with her at $150 a visit and was developing a rapport, but ultimately I do not think she gives a damn about her patients. She’s there to collect her pay and move on to the next person.
I found another company and would not recommend MIDI to anybody.

I was very disappointed with my experience with Midi as a self-pay patient seeking testosterone therapy.
The initial consultation cost $250 and lasted approximately 10 minutes. During that visit, I was told I would also need:
- a separate follow-up visit to review labs ($150)
- an additional required DEA-provider visit before treatment could even begin ($150)
This brought the actual startup cost to approximately $550 BEFORE medication, which was never made clear upfront.
Additionally, labs were not included and could have added another approximately $100–400 depending on the testing facility used. In reality, the true startup cost for self-pay patients may approach $650–950 before even receiving treatment.
As someone without insurance, transparency around process and cost is extremely important. Had I understood the true required costs in advance, I would not have booked the appointment.
What frustrated me most was not just the pricing, but the lack of meaningful value provided during the initial consult and the complete unwillingness to offer any flexibility, consolidation, partial refund, or accommodation after concerns were raised. The response was essentially just “sorry” and an offer to cancel.
I had genuinely hoped to continue using Midi for this and potentially other services, but unfortunately this experience changed that.
I strongly encourage self-pay patients to get complete clarification on ALL required appointments, processes, lab costs, and total expected startup expenses before booking.
