Don't waste your time on this platform
My experience with JoinBrands has been extremely frustrating, and at this point I would not recommend the platform to creators. I have now been cheated out of two separate job opportunities because of the way JoinBrands handles job invitations and notifications. The first time, JoinBrands sent me an email offering me a job at around 2 AM. Obviously, I was asleep. As soon as I woke up and saw the email, I clicked to confirm the job, only to find that it had already disappeared. A few days later, the exact same thing happened again. I received another job invitation, and this time I clicked “Confirm Job” approximately six minutes after the email was sent. The job still disappeared before I could secure it. Six minutes is hardly an unreasonable response time, especially when the invitation system itself is responsible for notifying creators. In my case, the emails have also ended up in my spam folder, which makes the situation even more ridiculous. Creators cannot accept opportunities they don't know about, and we should not be penalized because JoinBrands' own emails are not reliably reaching our inboxes. What makes this even worse is the customer service experience. I reached out for help, but instead of actually investigating what happened with the invitations, the responses felt like generic, copy-and-paste messages that did not address the specific situation. It feels like there is very little accountability when a creator loses an opportunity through no fault of their own. I understand that multiple creators may be interested in the same job and that opportunities can fill quickly. That's not the issue. The issue is sending creators job invitations and then having those opportunities disappear even when they respond almost immediately, particularly when the notification itself may have been delayed or filtered into spam. Creators are putting time into building profiles, applying for campaigns, creating content, and maintaining professional relationships with brands. When a platform offers an opportunity directly to a creator, there should be a reasonable and transparent process for accepting it. After having this happen twice within a matter of days, I have very little confidence in JoinBrands' job notification or support systems. The platform may have opportunities available, but that doesn't mean much if creators cannot reliably receive and secure the jobs they are invited to. JoinBrands needs to seriously improve its notification system, provide a fairer acceptance process, and have customer support that actually investigates individual cases instead of sending generic responses. Two lost opportunities due to the same issue is enough to make me question whether this platform is worth the time and effort creators put into it.

Hi Melissa, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and we apologize for the inconvenience. You raised a fair point, and your case requires an in-depth review, which we have started. To explain how this works: brands can invite creators to a campaign before it goes live. Once our team approves the campaign, those invitations are sent out automatically, which means the notification can arrive at any time of day. An invitation lets you take the job right away, without applying or waiting for the brand to approve you. However, each campaign has a limited number of spots, and they are filled as creators accept. An invitation does not reserve a spot, so once all spots are taken, the job is no longer available. On the emails, we are happy to check whether our notifications are being delivered to your email address. In most cases where an invitation is missed, the email has ended up in the spam folder, unless the account has been unsubscribed from our emails. Marking a JoinBrands email as "not spam" and adding us to your contacts usually helps future emails reach your inbox. As a next step, we have opened a ticket with our development team to review both of your confirmation attempts in detail. Our team will reach out to you directly with the findings. We also hear your feedback about our support. Feeling that your concerns were not looked into properly is not the experience we want any creator to have, and we are sorry for the instances where you did not receive the support you expected. Please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] at any time with questions or concerns, and we will make sure your case gets the attention it needs.
