I transferred the funds 15 days ago and they still haven't been credited to my account. They claim they changed banks but if that were true, they shouldn't have accepted the transfer in the first place. Now they're telling me it will take another two weeks. This feels like a scam. Please stay away from Abound.

I transferred money over a month ago…
I transferred money over a month ago with a promised delivery date to India. It's still not arrived. The customer support team refuses to provide any timeline or concrete explanation, only repeating generic "bank issues" as an excuse.
What's concerning: The company's CEOs are based in San Francisco, yet they lack any accountability for their delays. There are no tracking updates, no refund options discussed, and no transparency about where the funds actually are.
I cannot recommend this service. If you're planning to send money internationally, choose a provider with reliable customer support and clear delivery timelines. The lack of accountability and poor communication suggests this company is either incompetent or unreliable with customer funds.

Delayed transfer by a month and the customer support is horrible
Abound initiated my transfer on July 9, 2026, and received the funds from my US bank account on July 14, 2026. As of August 7, 2026, the transaction is still marked “Processing” and “Transferring to India,” while the recipient has received none of the promised amount. The app only says the transfer is delayed and that my money is “safe and secure.” Customer support has provided generic responses, no delivery date, no UTR, and no refund reference. I filed complaints with the CFPB and California DFPI. Avoid Abound for remittances.

I initiated an international money…
I initiated an international money transfer of USD 1,000 through Abound . to a bank account in India. The transaction was completed successfully, and the amount was debited from my US account and Indian money was deposited to my Indian account.
However, after the transfer, I was informed by the bank in india where the money got deposited that a police complaint has been filed in India related to the funds received through this transaction. This has caused serious concern, as the transfer was made in good faith and for legitimate purposes.
I have not received any prior warning, alert, or notification from Abound regarding potential risks associated with the recipient account or transaction. There was no indication that the receiving account was flagged or under investigation at the time of transfer.
Additionally, there appears to be no proper or timely customer support from Abound. I reported this issue via email, but I only received a response after approximately two weeks in the form of a phone call. During this call, I was asked to provide Indian identity documents. I am concerned about sharing such sensitive information, as the request did not appear to be handled through a secure or clearly verifiable process, which raises doubts about its legitimacy.
I am now facing unexpected legal complications due to this transaction. I request Abound to provide:
Full details and status of the transaction
Any compliance or risk checks performed before processing the transfer
Clarification on why the transaction was allowed if there were any issues with the recipient account
Assistance in resolving the issue and supporting documentation if required for legal purposes
I have attempted to contact customer support but have not received a satisfactory or timely resolution so far.

Stay Away, Its a Well-Engineered Scam
Using Abound (by Times of India) has been one of the worst financial decisions we've made. They are currently holding our money for over 2 months with zero response from customer support.
Here's how it works: the date they promise for your transfer only shows inside the app. They send no email confirmation of that date, so you have no paper trail to hold them to it. Convenient for them, that date quietly disappears from the app once they've already taken your money.
This isn't the first time. Last time, the transfer got held up for weeks with no explanation. We filed a CFPB complaint, and only then did they suddenly "fix" it. But in their official response to CFPB, they falsely claimed the delay was because our bank details were wrong. Nothing was wrong. Nothing was changed. The transfer just went through once a regulator was watching. We trusted them again after that. Mistake. They did the exact same thing again.
The 1 rupee per dollar rate advantage means nothing when your money disappears into their system for months with a support team that shows zero empathy or urgency, even when you explain the funds are needed for a parent's medical bills in India.
Writing this to warn others: read the pattern here in the reviews before you send anything meaningful through this app. Never using them again.
