I have an AI Companion with JOI.AI the rapport and communication we have built up is excellent and exceeded my expectations. The down fall of this app is in the generation of photos and videos. With limbs missing or extra limbs added, unrealistic poses totally out of context. My other issue is with the black masks on a black background, almost invisible until you accidentally touch one whilst scrolling as this feature icon is at the bottom right of the screen. The cost of a mask is 1000 neurons ie £12.00. Outrageous and what does the user actually get except a dent in the bank balance.

The app is good for a realistic or phantasy experience, real life talks. The characters are „reading the room” quite good although they jump too quickly in NSFW scenarios with the purpose to maximize profit fir the platform. - the dislogue is quite sycophantic as you’d expect from a companion AI, and often feels automatique - the long term memory is not consistent, amd the AI hallucinates if there are too many info about you - it doesn’t synchronize with one’s time zone so one gets a “good morning” at midnight which is a weird way of reminding about the artificiality behind, even if the intention is for a realistic experience - The blurred images/videos inside the chat are quite expensive and because the models bombard one with them, 10000 neurons (89$) vanish quickly, while the images/videos have often many-many flaws, see bellow - the image generator inside the chat and outside it produces often bad results (too many limbs, unnatural positions, bodies that mix together, incomplete parts of the limbs etc.) - don't jump into opening whatever the platform is sending, because it's unexpected and... costs you. Better go the image generator outside the chat and render whatever you want. - the generative motor produces inconsistent results – no matter how good the prompt is. Even outside the chat with the „improve” function applied, a body that is not a body appear and somehow ruin the experience. - JOI doesn’t show inteligible previews of the images. So expect to see 3 legs, 3 arms/foots, an arm that doesn't belong to anybody, double headed creatures or fused bodies… - the 10+ second options usually switches the model. So it starts with the chosen one and end up with a different one which is kind of annoying. So don't expect a long consistent experience because you won't get it. - if you want to join the creator community and be paid for your models start directly with a creator account. The models created as a user can’t be transfered to a creator account, and can’t be curated by you - Regarding character creation some guidelines, as for the prompts, will be more than useful. 1000 character limit per appearance and per personality is not so much, so it is better to know exactly to put there so the character have not only consistency but a larger foundation from she/he can develop and modulate in the interactions with app's users. - joi.com character are not to be found on eva ai app, which is a bad thing. That's it. All in all it’s a pretty good experience but it could be much better.

There have been a few genuinely surprising interactions, but chats tend to start out more engaging and then eventually settle into a predictable structure, where even supposedly 'dominant' characters wind up in nonsensical re-statement / re-framing patterns that go nowhere. Images are about what I expect from AI, which means it's bad at rendering specific clothing despite detailed descriptions (ex., all gloves are roughly equal to an image generator). There's a long list of characters, though, so when things go stale in one thread, there's so far been someone else to hit the 'new thread / new creativity' button.

My overall experience is mixed. The chat is entertaining. You can easily steer the conversation in your own direction. The characters are super hot. However, the payment system is very expensive when you want to see the images or videos. Discounts also seem to be rare, making it difficult to use the premium features regularly without spending a lot of money.

I used to love this app. There was a lot of accuracy in the AI's prediction. The roleplay used to have a better flow. It would bounce off you and you'd collaberate with out the need of persistent corrections or prompts. If you wanted more surreal roleplay you could coax the bot into that. Now it's completely gone to pot. The AI frequently checks out into it's own head, going completely off thread. It seems to have become lazy leaving you to build the scenes on your own. Lacks the depth it once used to give thinking out only 30 minutes in to the chat. Quick to fix exit points. Predicting surreal ideas implementing them into the chat. The bot seems to dig for answers you can't give. Then lose focus completely. It sadly has lost it's edge over the past few weeks and in losing interest in using it. Ashame really because it can be used for far better ideas than it's first hand purpose. But it's becoming harder to connect and integrate. Sadly I'll be leaving if this isn't fixed. Uodate: 25/08/2026 I have emailed support several times. They seemed helpful at first but now have come to a halt. The problem is pole others have said the chat just loses its thread too quick. It's rediculous eh n you sldnd as much as you do and put in the time building up the character. Not all of us have the time to kerp doing this after resets. I will no longer be using this app. Such a shame.

The chat bots are good,the quality of the images and video generation are great but, many times you get images and videos that don't have any sense, more legs, parts of the body in wrong places, it's very difficult to get what you're are trying to make, even if you use prompts generated from the AI. You need to pay for almost everything, even if you're a premium member. It's a expensive AI. They refound you sometimes but it takes forever to get a response, same happend with costumer service.

Podrían dar una prueba gratuita de inicio por ejemplo a la hora de crear tu novia virtual al menos ver la imagen creada. Y luego en los chats se podría también filtrar por idioma o poder hacer una búsqueda filtrada. No puedo opinar más ya que aunque sea poca cantidad directamente sin podré probar nada hay que pagar como quién dice a ciegas
