I am an electrical contractor in Alaska. I have hired JCI multiple times due t the low bid process. I will no longer use JCI for any systems installations. (FA, Access Control, PA System, Camera Systems, etc.) This is absolutely the most unorganized company I have ever dealt with in 30 yrs. Not to mention the position they continue to put our company in during the construction process. The employees are good to work with, but the corporate mentality of ownership and management is horrible!!!!

Johnson Controls was a great company to work with. The expectation of the staff to maintain a high standard of professionalism is excellent. The security procedures are great. Highly recommend!

No email to get hold of someone which is unacceptable but one of ‘Johnson Controls’ works vehicles RV74 YKL cut me up on a roundabout and then had excessive speed and then proceeded to tail gait a taxi. Flashed driver and they didn’t even realise I was there. Had to take aversive action to avoid a crash. Your welcome

Unfortunately, I had the pleasure of encountering one of Johnson Controls’ drivers today on a large roundabout where two lanes were merging. The driver’s manner of driving was extremely aggressive and, in my view, appeared to put me in a dangerous position alongside oncoming traffic. What made the situation even worse was that I had my two young children in the car. Afterwards, the driver proceeded to verbally abuse me and made offensive hand gestures towards me. I have tried calling the Johnson Controls office several times to report what happened, but unfortunately I have been unable to get through to anyone. The vehicle involved was a Johnson Controls van, registration BJ73 DWW, and the incident occurred on 26-08-26 at approximately 16.20 I would expect a company representing a major organisation to take road safety and the behaviour of its drivers seriously. I hope Johnson Controls will contact me and address this matter appropriately.

They have withheld a refund check from us for over 2 years. Do not recommend.

I had a new heat pump installed in 2024 for a single-family residence. Within a few months, the compressor burned out. York has a 10 year parts warranty, so a new compressor sent to my A/C technician for installation. In the first winter, the heat pump made a very unusual tapping noise. It could be clearly heard inside the house. The technician came and ran some diagnostics with no idea what could be making the noise. For two years, the technician attempted to get support from Johnson controls. Johnson Controls never sent a representative to inspect the system. They never offered any kind of resolution for the problem. The normal response from Johnson Controls tech support people was that "we never heard of that problem before." The technician literally spent endless hours trying to figure out how to rectify the knocking noise. I finally had enough and asked the technician to remove the York and install a different name brand. The last straw was when I personally contacted tech support to tell them their equipment was badly flawed. Their response was that they could not help me since I had the equipment removed. Really? No help in two years and I am to believe all of a sudden, they will do something to resolve my problem? I will never own another York.

New heat pump to be installed on standard home in Saint-Lambert, Canada. Opted for York heat pump (Johnson Controls owned) since it was not made in China. 16 months after the installation, the evaporator failed along with its compressor. They replaced for the parts but not labour required. 2800$ had to be dished out. One would expect better performance after such a short period. In the end they make a low quality product, replace the part at will and leave the consumer hanging for expensive labour. At least you do not dish out so much for a cheaper brand.

I was driving in North Dallas (midpark and 75) doing the speed limit entering a ramp for the HOV lane, when an aggressive driver in a JC van #B00536 ACR-1460 plate #1574 another number on the car was 72202012 was riding my bumper, aggressively swerved next to me, just to flip me off with his entire arm and finger. I have no clue what I did to upset him. I never reacted to his close following. What an unsafe driver, and swerving just to flip me off made him more unsafe to everyone on the road.
