Trying to aquire the money I EARNED. Trying to pay down my wife's medical bills, yet these fools act as though its their money... I bust my ass Trying to build something long-term for my wife and I, and these fools denied me access to the money I EARNED. Do yourself a favor. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE THEIVES.

If there was a ability to rate John Hancock with zero Stars we would rate them as that. We were on hold for more than an hour in the calls keep getting disconnected. It is impossible to get someone on the phone and when they do get on the phone they give us wrong information. These people do not know their ass from a hole in the ground.

I would give zero stars if that were possible. My mother got this policy while she was working -it was offered by her company. It should be illegal to sell a policy to anyone without a clear financial page being presented as sadly most people who are not familiar with healthcare do not read the terms carefully. But why would they? They are told it will help pay for care when they need it. It doesn't tell them that it only pays for home health aids and skilled nursing facilities--nothing in between there which is important. They also are not required to tell customers that while their premiums are hundreds or thousand dollar a month for years, resulting in paying out hundreds of thousands of their hard earned dollars...they only pay $65 day for caregivers in the home or $130 a day for SNF. Good luck trying to hire anyone for that amount-the rest comes out of your pocket. Unless you die before 65 you don't get any premiums back-no pay out after an age most people will get to . They should be legally required to show potential customers how much their premiums would amount to each year vs what they pay per day for care. This is a complete financial scam -save your money and invest personally and then one day if/when you need it, you can use every penny without lengthy reimbusement paperwork or denials. Your family could inherit it if you don't use it. It is A SCAM DO NOT BUY IT if you are unsure-take your money and invest it in a brokerage account or ANYTHING other than this scam on the elderly.

John Hancock was really difficult to work with. I requested a hardship loan and sent it documents and had to send it in 14 times and they still said they weren’t enough. They do not understand the difference between medical bills and medical bills that went into collections. I never had this issue with Fidelity.

Called to roll over my retirement plan. Wasted for hours and agent pretended to have technical issues then ended the call.

I wanted to withdraw my retirement funds and rollover to another 401k plan. I was on hold for 23 minutes on the phone as it's the only channel I was allowed to start the process through. Very poor customer experience overall.

It's very difficult not to be overly emotional and not get personal, but these morons have MY money and then tell me I don't have an account with them. Are you kidding me?!? AS SOON as I can get to my account, my funds will be withdrawn and moved to Charles Schwab. Screw these inept dolts!

Extremely difficult to withdraw your money after retirement. Make sure you have a nice emergency fund. Difficult to reach customer service. Hours in their correspondence are not current. Staff is inadequately trained. Cryptic messages are given in their responses. Just an extremely difficult company to deal with.
