Arrived on the site after a family member offered to finance 2 months of coaching for me. Saw the career personality test before signing up for the subscription and thought it would be fun to try! The test was interesting. You have a mix of career-relevant questions and fun ones like asking whether you see a rabbit or duck in the famous ambiguous shape. The test will ask for your personal information throughout, such as zip code, phone number, and email address. When you complete the test, things are a little unpleasant, so heads up. You will sit through fake loading bars for a couple minutes while a video plays. You can't skip it, because that would ruin the loading bar immersion. (Tip: You may be able to spot fake loading bars in the wild by their progress being too regular with no stalls, or if their completion perfectly lines up with the end of an unskippable video.) Finally, after that, I was threatened "You will lose access to your report in: [countdown timer of about 15 minutes]" and shown payment options to access my report. Payment options ranged from $29.90 for minimal results including 5 recommended career paths and your career personality, to $99.90 (supposedly they took $50 off of a $149.90 normal price for today) for 10 recommended career paths and coaching. I chose not make any purchases since the countdown pressure made me too uncomfortable, so I can't tell you what the actual result or coaching quality is. Spent time, gave away personal information, didn't feel good about it in the end. EDIT: I received access to results for this test in an email later, even without making a purchase. Results included personality analysis, strengths, and a career recommendation (ironically for me, I was recommended the career I already have and am trying to branch away from). Star rating has been increased accordingly.

I have not experienced the private career counselling, this is my experience based on just the website and the career test. First, the career test was... Fine. I like the questions, I think it looks into the right aspects of your personality and I like the AI integration, however, the results were a little disappointing. It gave me the same recommendation as all the tests before, which, in my opinion, doesn't really match my personality. Perhaps I'm just a confusing personality. That said, the 5 recommendations I got from paying 20$ were all extremely similar, and I would've loved to see something out of left field there to really make me think. The "information" besides the recommendations themselves is mediocre AI half-truth. GenAI seeps through every word and there little actual content. Based on just this, I would rate the website a 4, but I'm taking a star down for dark patterns. The website is disgustingly predatory. Every price has a "LIMITED TIME ONLY BUY NOW" discount, every item is "ONLY 4 REMAINING!!!" and the homepage is entirely made to be randomly clicked on in a Google search. It takes you right to the test and there's no indication that the test is primarily a paid offer until you're done with it. After finishing the test I received an obviously fake "personal video message" from a carer counsellor, who talked about how she absolutely loves "my" profile and would love to help "me". The products the company offers are fine and are not a scam, but the marketing strategies they employ are vile.

Tried to cancel, couldn't figure out how to as there was Zero communication or direction before the session. So I just lost $99 for nothing.

The test results themselves are not that helpful, and the way they introduce the paywall after you've spent a good 20 minutes filling out the test feels like something of a bait-and-switch. But if you can pay for the premium help of the job coach, you might learn some concrete things you can do to help you look for more fulfilling work. My coach, Nicole Ellis, was very helpful and supportive.

Overall, the session was useful but didn’t really provide me with a lot that I couldn’t find online or through speaking with others with professional experience. I didn’t find the assessment useful at all for the purpose of my coaching session, but the session itself was more helpful.

There is no disclaimer that you have to pay for the results of the test after taking the time to take it. But I did pay the $35 and get a tad more detail than the $25 one gets you and I liked what I got. Is it worth the money? In some aspects yes it is but in others no it's not. I did like the personality traits and careers in lead me to, I just wish it was cheaper.
