Nothing is more annoying than completing/providing data to someone and them not disclosing the pricing first. Regardless if the data is “destroyed” there should be full disclosure and consenting first. Sorta basic rights…

My coach changed the original meeting time, and sent me two meeting requests in the wrong time zone. This caused me to miss the scheduled meetings and then instead of apologizing for sending me the wrong time zone she suggested that I request another coach.

It is a reasonable assumption that an online service that requires payment will be upfront about any costs involved before users engage with it. Jobtest makes no mention of any costs until after users have invested a significant amount of time and effort in using the service. It manipulates users vulnerable to the sunk cost fallacy by withholding the information that teases the prospect of "finding a career that lights your fire" and "unlocking your potential". And if you aren't willing to hand over the cash you weren't expecting to pay? Then the doors are still locked and the fire has gone out. Jobtest acts dishonesty and manipulatively. Don't use it.

As I was going through the questions, I appreciated how thorough it seemed to be and was curious about my results. I spent an hour trying to thoughtfully respond, only to find out that I have to pay to get any job recommendations. The free plan gives you "career personality insights"; this is a short paragraph that concatenates (word-for-word) a few of their test questions with your multiple choice answers. Those aren't insights, they're just formulas. I'm not opposed to them trying to make revenue, but be transparent about there being a cost. It's deceptive to make them provide all of their contact information and personal data, only to then inform them of the cost.

aptitude assessment was interesting. the job recommendations were not relevant at all. I wish I could have gotten more out of the process.

Considering I spent $30 to get the results, I should be able to retest. I would like to see if I get the same results a second go around. Not to mention, they didn't have my exact field, job title, or bachelors degree available... so my information is not even accurate based on that information. While the career suggestions are ones I'm interested in, they are somewhat impractical suggestions. Maybe when I've got more years under my belt... I've only been in the professional work force for 3 years.

I was excited about reading how many people felt this site would really give me some insight into future career paths. However, when I got the results, most, if not all of the recommended career pathways, each one included essential skill(s) that I clearly stated I either wasn’t interested in or was not good at.

I paid for the least expensive report in hopes of getting a little insight to what type of careers I would be good at based on my personality. Instead, it gave me one recommendation and it was for the career I have been in for the last 11 years. I even entered my information and said what I’m currently doing. Maybe I misunderstood what I would be getting out of this but I thought I’d get insight to new fields with information on what type of education or requirements are needed for those career paths.
