i had canceled my subscription with Jobscan during the trial period and even removed my payment details, but I was still charged $71. I have contacted their support team multiple times via email and chat, but I have not received any resolution. This has caused me financial stress and disappointment. I trusted the platform but now feel let down due to the lack of timely response and refund. I request Jobscan to take immediate action and refund my money. If this is not resolved soon, I may have to escalate the issue further through my bank and other consumer protection agencies. – Roohullah Khan

Scam. Site is just ChatGPT with a name that will attract jobseekers. All it does is tell you your resume sucks and that you need more instances of every word (not even keywords) from the JD. The templates are also hard to use. Very disappointed.

Illegally keeping subscription active. I have cancelled my subscription 3x and after a few days, they would still charge! This has happened on many occasions and I have proof of attempts to charge on my card. Everytime I cancel, they would say, the premium subscription expires a few days from the day I cancelled. There is no way to remove your payment details. Each time I press downgrade again, it just says “I’m on the premium plan”. This is illegal. I have never been so angry of a company that uses illegal practices.

This product worked great for about 2 days. I was able to compare resumes (pdf file) to job descriptions and customize to fit the role. I noticed on the 2nd day that the provided templates from Jobscan are not compatible with Workday applications as the format parses the information incorrectly. When placing the information into a format that is standard and works within Workday, Jobscan stopped working. Now, any pdf file that I upload for comparison fails to bring in all information, fails to read the words to identify keywords that are included, and the customer services is of no help. Customer service itself is via email only, once assigned, only that person will help (I have an actual email from a rep that replied to me saying the assigned person would answer my question when they return). Additionally the customer service help is infrequent on their replies and very elementary in their communication, providing no reliable assistance.

I was recently laid off and was looking for a service that would help me get back into the job mark fast. What I found out by a few different recruiters is AI writing resumes are now being discarded and are not passing the Appiliant Tracking Systems (ATS). If you are not getting any interview request it could be due to your AI resume.

I’ve been using Jobscan since April 2023, right after being laid off due to the tech layoffs. Since then, I’ve been relying on Jobscan as a critical tool for my survival while trying to return to my actual career as a software engineer. Unfortunately, the job market has been brutal, forcing me to work at toxic jobs just to make ends meet. Given my situation, I was really looking forward to upgrading to the annual plan this Black Friday, which would have saved me $40 compared to the quarterly plan. But Jobscan doesn't allow existing quarterly subscribers to upgrade to the annual plan — even during Black Friday. I’ve been paying since April, and it’s frustrating that loyal customers are excluded from this offer. I’m giving this review the lowest possible rating because, frankly, I’m exhausted from dealing with cynical managers and toxic workplaces. If you care about common courtesy and fairness, it feels like you’re out of luck. I expected better from a service I’ve relied on to help me get back into my career. The system works great, but the treatment of paying, long-term subscribers is disappointing. If you’re considering Jobscan, my advice is this: sync your subscription renewal with Black Friday so you can get the annual plan discount. If you’re already on a quarterly plan, you’re basically stuck unless you cancel and resubscribe, which makes no sense for loyal users. I hope Jobscan rethinks its policy. Loyal subscribers shouldn’t have to jump through hoops just to save a little money.
NB
Company charges without sending reminders of your trial end. The service itself is useless. Just another AI money grab that has no benefit for users. Beware of all the fake positive "reviews". This company is a scam.
