There was a time that having Jiffy Lube a mile from our home was a good thing. However, in recent years they go through so many employees that are not well trained. Twice, recently I stopped in to have air put in my tires, the employee gave ridiculous advice. The first time he stated that my tires were 5 years older than my vehicle. The other day (different vehicle), he told me that my tires were dry rotting because of going to the car wash. Guess pushing tire sales is what the new focus is. We haven't gone back for an oil change at the Chesterton, Indiana location in over a year, and will not go back for general maintenance service again. The last time the employees were arguing and making sure that we were aware of how unhappy they were. There is no way I have any confidence that they will do a good job without messing something up.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this Jiffy Lube. As a woman, I felt completely taken advantage of — I was overcharged for services I didn’t fully understand, and when I asked questions, I was met with dismissive, patronizing responses. It felt like they were gaslighting me into thinking the costs and delays were normal. What was supposed to be a quick service ended up taking far longer than I was told, with no clear updates or explanation. I left feeling frustrated, disrespected, and frankly, ripped off. I hope management takes a serious look at how female customers are treated here. I will absolutely not be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone.

My boyfriend took my car for an oil change 7/15/25 at 3:23 pm but Jiffy Lube forgot to put a sticker on my car. When I got the car, I took it for detailing and a oil change at 5:37 pm at Take 5 Oil Change and paid $86. I am a little mad because had the sticker been there I would not have got finessed out another oil change two hours later. Ladies beware. Also, I have both receipts for proof.

JIFFY LUBE CENTER #1047 Located at 777 S Elmhurst Rd Des Plaines, IL 60016 United States This location is a prime example of everything wrong with shady, independently owned service shops hiding under a big-name brand. I came in for a standard oil change and ended up being told I had to pay extra because the oil filter cap was “stuck.” Funny — no other mechanic has ever flagged this as an issue. And guess what? Whether it’s stuck or not, removing it is part of a basic oil change. That’s literally the job. But instead, they used it as an excuse to charge more — a total upsell scam. Ended up paying over $300. I trusted Jiffy Lube, and my family has been using them for years — but this experience has completely shattered that trust. This location made up their own rules, overcharged me for a job that should’ve been routine, and then dismissed my concerns when I tried to address it. If you’re not mechanically inclined, beware: this place will take advantage of you. They rely on customers not knowing any better so they can pad the bill. Shame on this franchise and shame on Jiffy Lube corporate for letting them operate like this. I’ll never return — and if you value your time, money, or sanity, you shouldn’t either.

I've been going here for a yearly inspection for a couple of years. Always prompt and no up sale attempts. Today I was advised that I needed one wiper or I would fail. OK, wipers work fine but whatever. I get home and see a 10 dollar charge on my inspection report for tinted windows. My factory stock car has no aftermarket tint so I call to inquire. The rep that checked me out ( Deanna E.) advised me that she doubts that I was charged a window tint fee and promptly dismissed me and hung up on me. Whether they did or not is not my point here. She needs a course in customer relations to enable her to better relate to customer concerns. I will not return to this Jiffy Lube or any other. Maybe her disdain was due to the fact I was wearing my Marine cap and was open carrying.... Just a heads up to other Jarheads out there.

CENTREVILLE JIFFY LUBE IS A TOTAL SCAM OPERATION. THEY CLAIMED TO DO A SIMPLE OIL CHANGE ON MY BMW, BUT USED WRONG OIL AND A DEFACTIVE OIL FILTER. ALL WHICH DAMAGED MY CAR AND REQUIRED EXPENSIVE REPAIRS AT BMW. THE MANAGER REFUSED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY PER THEIR " CONTRACT" EVEN WHEN SEEING THE BMW SHOP STATEMENT OF DAMAGES DUE TO THEIR NEGLIGENCE. THEY USE POOR PARTS AND OIL AND CHARGE FOR WHAT THEY CALL " THE BEST MATERIALS". I HAVE REPORTED THEM TO BBB

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Do not trust them even with an oil change! 6 days after an oil change with them my car completely shut down while my wife with my 2 year old in the car. After calling a mobile mechanic and having looks at my engine. There was oil all over my engine, transmission and other things it is not suppose to. When pulling the dip stick out the engine was dry. The mobile mechanic cleaned my whole engine and transmission off removing the oil. He also completed a step by step oil change showing me the old o ring that was not changed. This O ring comes with the filter and is supposed to be changed every oil. My O ring was not only old but was damaged in the oil change process. The manager and customer service has yet to get back to me about anything! I have not received the money for the mobile mechanic. I have talked to the customer service and they told me there was nothing that they could do but I would receive a call to go over my case within THREE days! It is now over a week later. I have received no call, no money back, not even a number to call with the issues my engine is having! No rental, the store manager Harry couldn't even give me an apology and has been avoiding my calls each and now blocked my number. I have not seen or heard anything from their customer service department and this is ridiculous!!!! I have pictures at video that my lawyer will be receiving.

Horrible service. Don't trust Jiffy Lube. Never will go back.
