Nov. 30, 2025, husband and I went to Columbia, SC location to buy 1 carat diamonds ear rings. A sweet young lady met us at the door and immediately showed us what they had. I questioned the discrepancy between 2 pairs that I was looking at: one was priced at $1600 and the other at $5400. So, not noticing a big difference in quality, I chose the lower priced ones. Once they totaled it up and gave us the bottom line, the young lady came over to us to explain that the one we chose was actually a lab grown diamond which is not what we wanted. She was completely upset over the mistake. So, long story short we found a real diamond set for $2600! Well, then the chaos began. Manager comes over and after 30 minutes or so of him getting the pricing wrong showing the difference we owed since we had already paid $1663. I had to do the math for him as he was completely over charging us by $400. It was the most untrustworthy experience I’ve ever encountered. I guess I should have just walked out and gone somewhere else, but I came home with the ear rings and am hoping I didn’t make a huge mistake by dealing with them!

The wedding ring my husband gave me from Jared from Raleigh NC is absolutely stunning "however" ONE OF THE DIAMONDS FELL OUT AFTER A LITTLE OVER A YEAR OF WEARING IT. What makes me upset is they wouldn't replace the diamond because my husband forgot to tell me Jared expects you to have it inspected every 6 months or so ( can't remember the time frame of that "rule" even now ) My issue with that is "IF" their product is as they say not to mention the price paid, why is it a "rule" to bring it in to be inspected and why did I lose a diamond after only having it a little over a year? They sales lady explained to me, if it's not brought in to be inspected, they won't stand behind their product..... I'm always checking my ring to make sure I haven't lost anymore diamonds and when I do I'm reminded of how I use to think "JARED" was the ultimate place for expensive jewelry, now all I can do is shake my head because they're not and their policies prove they're not to be trusted. It's unfortunate they wouldn't replace the "tiny" diamond I lost because now my husband goes elsewhere to buy jewelry.

Recently went to Jared since JB Robinson closed in our area, Jared supposedly took over. Took in a bunch of things to repair, of course on some things due to Covid our warranty expired because we were unable to get in during Covid lockdowns for checks and of course JB Robinson doesn't tell you where to take it after they close, you are supposed to just know I guess, well that figures so of course the warranties were void and we had to pay for repairs. 1. We bought a sterling necklace with topaz and sapphire pendant (also matching ring and bracelet), necklace was such bad quality that my neck swelled up for two months and had to see a couple doctors about it and I had to buy another necklace that was $800 to replace the cheap one that came with the pendant so my neck would not swell (they would not replace it or let me upgrade it). 2. I took my 3K tennis bracelet to be repaired adding a second chain to it so as not to lose it, and I did not check it well after picking up so many items and I went home put it in my safe, during 6 months I did not wear it. I pulled it out to wear and a diamond was missing (no one disturbed it it was locked away the whole time), my bad for not checking closer each and every diamond when I got it back in the store. Their manager assures me that happens all the time that diamonds just fall out. I have pictures and video of before. They had just sent it to corporate supposedly to be checked, repaired and cleaned and had a new chain added as a back up. Now I am going to have to pay a lot to replace the missing stone. I really doubt it will be covered under warranty even if I do show them my pictures and video. I don't even want to go there again because I think I was scammed. Now I want to pull my diamond checker and mini microscope out and check everything again. I am not saying they took it, I am just saying it's highly suspicious to have a loose stone that falls out immediately after repair in between your jewelry store and your safe which you put in your safe 30 minutes later after not losing any stones for years. 3. I have a very nice ring with several carats, the ring was sold to us by JB Robinson which Sterling Jewelers owned and one of the stones is now somehow a total piece of junk or it was traded out at some point by a JB Robinson jeweler because we paid over 7500 for the ring (worth about 10 grand originally) that might not be Jared's fault but they of course zoned right in wanting to charge me a fortune for a new diamond which I refused. You can't even see the chip with bare eyes. But my question is how did it get to be such a crappy stone after buying a high quality ring originally worth almost 10K. On that one I should say the blame may fall on JB Robinson's previous jewelers, not Jared. And if JB Robinsons was selling such good quality rings with quality diamonds how could it have such a big flaw in the first place? I should think the stone would be replaced with a good one. Warranties don't cover possible crappy trade-outs by suspicious jewelers. But these are all part of the Sterling group and Jared will only sell me upgrades to fix it rather than replace the stone even though it's supposedly still under warranty. 4. On the same wedding ring which Jared repaired Jared did not add gold to tighten the stone in, they scraped the gold from the ring to cover the edge of the diamond which looks awful like it was melted and scraped over the edge of the stone. I feel it was cheaply repaired considering I was paying for enough gold to fix the prongs and tighten the setting. Very disappointed at that part of the repair. I am skeptical of Jared at this point. The manager was nice when I called about the missing diamond. So I will at least give them that. She offered to look at it immediately so I guess I will be going back to at least have her look. If anything I just wanted to report it in case they have a sneaky jeweler on their team. On that note I will say, our watch battery replacements came back fine. My newer gold necklace is not affecting me but I had to pay more for that one. The other small repairs on additional tennis bracelets they did are all good. I wanted to at least be clear that some of the work was fine as far as I can tell. I don't know that I am going to allow my bracelet to go anywhere again without my eyes watching the repair. I am tired of feeling scammed. Why does everything have to be sent to corporate. How can I believe I won't be stolen from. The photos they take before your repair goes out are not the best either. Jared treats you ok but they do freak out when your diamond doesn't meet their expectations even though their group sold you that saying it was high quality. Then they try to sell you a new diamond when you find out the E grade you bought before through the same group is crap (chipped) or may have been switched out.

Firstly, I enjoy shopping at Jared because they always have pandora charms that are always sold out at Pandora. This however, will be my last time shopping here. I ordered from Jared on July 13th, I never received any form of confirmation that my order was actually placed. Due to COVID-19, I used store pick-up to assure my items would be available for my sisters birthday. I checked my e-mail multiple times no e-mail. After a week of waiting for some form of confirmation, I assumed my order was ready to pick up. I traveled 30 minutes to Jared in NY, Carle’s Place to pick up my items where I was told I needed to make an appointment in order to get inside of the store. I understand the safety measures however nowhere on the Jared site does it mention I needed an appointment. Maybe if they sent a confirmation e-mail they would have stated that but, again I had no e-mail. Very frustrated, I contact the store while I was outside and tried to set up an appointment. I was only picking up items and the store was empty but they were unable to give me an appointment for the same day. I scheduled an appointment for the following day. Upon arriving to Jared for the second time, I rang the bell for somebody to answer, no response! I saw one of the sales associates look at me three times and never bothered to inform any other sales associate to open the door. I stood outside for 10 minutes ringing the bell and knocking on the door. If all of the associates were busy I would’ve completely understood but when I finally was let in the store there were 4 associates and only 1 was working with a customer, I found it highly inconsiderate. My three stars are SPECIFICALLY for the associate that helped me. She went above and beyond to make my shopping experience much more pleasant. If it were not for her, I would have returned all the items and kept my money in my pocket. Her customer service and support deserves 10 stars and I greatly appreciate her. Wish I knew her name but I believe her associate ID is 000999998 at Carle Place Commons. Thank you for your service.

My experience with Jared's hasn't been awful, but I will certainly not buy from them again. My husband bought my ring at the Orem, UT location in October of 2011. He also purchased a small pair of earrings, and of course was made to pay for the extended warranty. In the third week of June 2012, a little over three weeks before our wedding, I was at work when I happened to look down and was horrified to see that one of the stones had fallen out of my ring. The ring has an invisible tension setting, so there are nine small stones put together. It looked ghastly. We immediately took the ring in and, at that time, were informed that the ring was outside the warranty because it had not been brought in for the six-month inspection. My husband blatantly and disgustedly told the woman helping us that when he purchased the ring and said warranty, he was not informed that it needed to be brought in for any inspections. Fortunately Jared's did not give us a hard time. We were told the ring would need to be sent out to be fixed and that it could take up to six weeks. My husband's response was that they had two weeks, or else they could keep the ring and issue a refund because he would be going somewhere else. We waited a week before he was called back to the store. My ring was not repaired, they instead gave him an identical ring to the one that had been damaged. We have not had any problems with Jared's since. However given the fact that so many important details were not shared by under-educated and misinformed employees, I will not be making any further purchases from this particular jeweler.

I only purchased jewelry at the Jared close to where I live in SW Florida. I have to readily admit, the sales staff is very nice. I only purchased jewelry there because I got a credit card from them and used it to re establish credit. Had it not been for that, I would have never purchased anything from them. The sterling silver necklace I purchased for $300.00 is very light in weight for the price. The customer service is great at the store, anyway, but the quality of the goods leaves a whole lot to be desired. My opinion is, look elsewhere.
