The one and only place I get my jewelry... time to get a clean and they put you on a waiting list?! That is unreal. $1000 and $1000 of dollars to be spent and I can’t even drop my jewelry of to get cleaned. SMH! Time to fine a new jewelry store!

Don’t buy here
Don’t buy here. They try to make a sale rather than what makes you happy. They will give u a good line of credit then when you pay it off they will leave it open for a little while and close the account causing your score to decrease. Horrible experience from beginning to end I’m just glad my partner things her ring is pretty. But definitely not worth it try other companies with no middle man seller

Promotion Balance Scam
Update: After a long time of talking with the customer support team they decided to refund the entire interest amount. After all they fixed the situation, so i upped the rating to a 2, but i still can't full recommend the company due to this debacle
Bought a ring in store and signed up for a promotional 12 month balance. I got the card for the account about a week later, to which i immediately went online and scheduled the automatic payment for remaining balance divided by 12. This is the same process i have done at every other store that i have done a similar process at.
Apparently, however, at Jared's they trigger the promotional balance to expire on the actual day the year ends and NOT on the following statement. This is fundamentally different from every store i've ever dealt with. This caused me get charged the interest on the card even though i had an automatic payment coming.
Their claim is that they informed me by putting some red text on my paperless statement. This isn't good enough because the entire point of the automatic payments is i don't need to micromanage this account. For this to have ever worked i would have had to change the default billing date by knowing their system was flawed.
I would not recommend buying anything at this store, especially if you are going to interact with the promotion in any way. They designed this in a perfect way to screw people over.

Warranties a must...quality is horrible.
If you buy from Jared (and I recommend you don’t), be sure to buy the lifetime metal and gem warranties. They are two separate warranties and you’ll need them both otherwise you’ll be paying for repairs annually until you due.

Hidden Costs - Free is not Free
While the local storefront seems to be generally friendly and 'in business', there are some things that keep us away from the enterprise. For example, they sell the notion of a Ultimate Watch Warranty. This includes what was supposed to be free battery replacement for life. Interesting that a watch battery replacement costs roughly $50.00 each time. The Ultimate Watch Warranty at a cost of $70 was clearly a come-on with no benefits.

Do Your Homework - don't buy from Jared or its affiliates! Highly recommend small/private jeweler for better service, quality and price
I will try to keep our unpleasant experience with Jared as short as possible. 1st ring my fiancé purchased was from Jared in Spotsylvania and it was pushed on us, we walked out with a sour taste. Yes, we should not have allowed her to push us, so we returned the ring to the Jared Vault in Woodbridge where we looked at several settings and found our dream setting. Took setting to Spotsylvania Jared (Jared Vault not able set the center stone). Went to pick up final product, it took them about 20 minutes and 4 sales reps to locate the ring. Hello, don't you put your repairs, settings, etc. in a set place? Prior to the center stone being set, we specified we wanted the center stone to sit a little higher and not low/flush with band, which they didn't do. Ring was a 1/2 size to big (2 sales ladies measured me). We took it back to Spotsylvania to have it resized and to discuss with the jeweler the height of the center stone. Jeweler would not come out to talk to us, but a rep for that dept. told us they could not set it higher unless we pay $300 for custom head. I said yes there is, I took it to have it appraised and he showed me in the book two choices and to tell Jared we want it to be 7.5 mm. and once the ring was complete to bring it back for an appraisal. Spoke to the store manager and said we are not paying $300, we already paid $150 (Jared's cost passed along to customer when they set your stone, head on your setting is "dummy head" - they take that one off and put new one on, which is not mentioned to you until the end of sale) and besides that there are two options in the book that are standard, not custom. Got home and looked at the "finished" product, only to find out they must have used pliers to size it. It was not square, but cockeyed, one row of diamonds sitting lower than other side (band has three rows of small diamonds on each side), and one side of band was higher. Called customer care where we were assured they would address this to our satisfaction. We told we will not pay for a custom head and if we cannot get the same band, we want to be able to return even though it is past the return policy. He informed the store manager to do whatever it takes to make us happy. Went back to Spotsylvania and spoke to the store manager; she was unable have a new band transferred in and she could not get one on line for us (online bands are different inventory or something like that). Three people in the store were appalled at the damage, but you have that one "sales" person who proceeds to tell us it is not bad, easy fix... Really, don't try to pacify me, I can see the damage without my glasses on!
Went to Jared Vault - surprise, surprise, they could order one for us and in two days it came in. They recommended we take it to Jared at Fair Oaks, the jeweler there does good work. Called Fair Oaks to see if we could speak to the jeweler when we come in to ensure we get what we want (as far as the mm height). I was told yes; interesting that Spotsylvania on two occasions would not have the jeweler come out (language barrier). We noticed 2 small diamonds on band fell out, sales rep noticed 3 were missing. Stones must have fallen out due to mishandling of ring (using pliers to downsize ring). Wish I could upload a pic.
Jared is requesting payment for the ring - it is damaged by their jeweler and we are working on OUR free time to get from one store to another to fix this. We told billing we would pay on the necklace and bracelet purchased, but not the damaged ring. Billing said nope you have the ring and we will add fee's as well. Fair, yes we have the ring because it takes 6 trips, doing our own leg work, driving 30 minutes out of our way to the Vault store, Spotsylvania store. Then we will have to drive an hour to the Fair Oaks store. We had snow this past weekend so going to Fair Oaks was not an option. In addition driving 2 hours round trip is not easy to fit in when we both work full time. As most, our weekends are filled with other obligations, not running all over town for Jared's mistake.
Sum it all up - Jared of Spotsylvania left a very sour taste in our mouths. Jared Vault in Woodbridge went above and beyond. Customer service did a good job at ensuring we were happy with either a new ring or return of the ring past the return policy. Billing gets a 0 for asking us to pay for merchandise damaged by them and not allowing us the time to make a trip that is out of our way to get a new ring. We have no issues making payment on the ring, but won't pay for damaged merchandise.
Tomorrow on my lunch break I will be returning the ring, keeping my fingers crossed the return goes smoothly.
Despite this was his dream ring to propose to me with; the hassles over the last 2 months are not worth giving Jared our money, time and headaches. We will find another ring just as comparable, if not better. Our next purchase we will support the independent jewelers, I love supporting small businesses and would have if my fiancé had not gone to Jared first. Well now we will :) Do your homework, wish we had = lesson learned. Read their reviews, don't think I have found a positive one yet and wish I had read them before experiencing what we did. I am one to praise when praise is due; But no praise due here except the fact they will let us return the ring (hopefully, we will see tomorrow).

I was suckered by Jareds
I purchased ear rings for my daughter and wife a couple years ago, was informed to bring it in every 6 months for free maintenance and so they can check it's in great condition.
First, my daughters ear rings kept getting "loose", we brought it in and informed them, they said they repaired it - but I let my daughter wear them, and they fell off and got lost any how.
2nd, my wifes ear rings have been brought in every 6 months as well but I was recently informed that the earrings were getting loose and they needed to charge me to repair if I didn't want it to fall out. I argued with them about why they're not standing behind it even after I've been bringing it in, but got suckered into paying for the service anyways.
I'm never buying anything there ever - I do not recommend this place.
