I filled in early march 2026. Mine had to be mailed in because I went for an energy credits due to major home repairs. The lady who filled mine out done them the prior year no problems because I had to pay. This year I’m married and filling the energy credits the old lady was lost calling people asking what to do. They charged me 375 . I thought everything was took care of until first of may when I started getting letters from federal and state government. Either way more information was needed that she didn’t send fed and state. Last letter from state says there is no refund and I’m expecting the same thing from federal. It’s been a very frustrating experience. Next year I’ll fill my own taxes out I can’t do no worse than she did. This was Mayodan nc hopefully this helps someone make a better decision than I did.

HORRIBLE..THEN WHEN I GOT THE SERVE CARD WITH $200 ON IT, SOMEONE STOLE $95 OF IT AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD ONLY REIMBURSE $50 BUT THAT WAS OVER TWO WEEKS AGO AND I HAVEN'T SEEN OR HEARD A THING FROM THEM

jackson hewitt not only told me id hsve to amend my own taxes when they did amend them the lady had a check mailed to me and there was no reason she couldn't have had it put in my account.

I checked my refund status today on IRS website and it's said no match info. Then I created account on'MJH", found out that my refund amount is only a half from the amount stated on the copy that I have. I texted the person who did my tax, he gave me the number that no one pick up or return my call. Finally I was able to talk to Kaitlin L, the name who appear on my tax document. She explained that there's mistakes on my OT when they reviewed it. They called me and said I didn't respond it. So they stopped the filing. The fact is I got a call on the 11th and the 12th stated there's mistakes on my OT they entered. I called Conrad, on the 11th after I received the 1st call. Form was sent to me and I signed and submitted it. I called him again if I am set. He said yes and I asked to get the copy of the updated one. I picked up on Monday the 13th. I assumed I received the correct one. I paid $286 for the service. I am very disappointed when I found out today that not only the refund amount will be only half that it's said at the beginning, but also they haven't filed it. What happen if I didn't call today? They never file my tax? I paid for nothing? Why they don't try to contact me again or send me an email? What kind of service it is? where is the campaign that you said Customer satisfaction guarantee? They don't even say sorry or trying to compensate me. They just said they will push to file it today. I am so flabbergasted. This will be my 1st and last to use Jackson Hewitt service. You hire people that not competent. I feel I got screwed. So People think of my review before you go and use Jackson Hewitt service.

Stopped in the Inverness Florida location to file a fairly simple return. After everything was done and ready the lady told me or was going to cost $500 and that's after she was giving us a $300 discount. They are a ripoff and withhold actual pricing till the end. I will never use them again and I will tell anyone and everyone NOT to go there.

Never again!!! I was charged $500 to have simple taxes done. It took 5 hours! The woman clearly didn't know what she was doing. Paid for filing in another state that I worked in for 10 weeks and didn't even meet the threshold for filing. Paid for electronic filing that wasn't done right. I still had to mail it in. The woman had to make 5 phone calls to verify that she was doing each step right. She didn't do anything right!! Then when my husband called to try and get it straightened out, we got put off. Almost 4 weeks later and several phone calls later a lady called us just to hem and haw and tell us she couldn't help us. Excuses is all we got. I would never ever recommend these fraudsters to anyone!!! I dont know how they are in business. Wow, just wow!! No customer service and I think the lady who did our taxes was high!! They are totally unprofessional. Unbelievable!!

They are one of the worst companies to file the tax specially if your case including more than 5-6 different documents to consider for tax filing. From timing perspective, unfortunately i have two bad experience wasting 2 months of my time while i submitted my documents end of Feb, they reach out to me 10 days before due days and confirm they cannot handle my tax due to complexity while they can inform me much earlier.

They charged me a lot of money to do my state return. Now I get a letter saying it was audited and I owe 24 more dollars. This is why I went to a professional. I'm supposed to go all the way back to their office to fix it. What are they going to fix.
