wrong answers but when I write them out, I get them wrong every single time

Where do we even start, Ixl has this smartscorer system, this system is stupid and dumb because when you get an answer wrong, the smartscorer will deduct massively the score, forcing you to start over, not to mention the operations are not correctly done, forcing us to do strategies that do not exist for a calculator or in a normal, text-based operation.

I Google-searched "meaning THERAPY" ... of 16 different dictionary sites ONLY the IXL site began with a peculiarily unusual/inaccurate meaning. R.M. proofreader, employed 1970s by OUPNY in textbook and foreign sales.

It was one fateful day in early fall of 2024. I was absent from school that day, so i had to do 2 hours of IXL. It was all going fine, and my Smart Score was slowly increasing. When i got to 97, i thought i would only need one more question until i was done. I got the question, spent about 5-10 minutes thoroughly examining it until i was sure of the answer. I confidently put in my answer, yet to my surprise, it was wrong. I had thought back to the question and realized i had made a huge mistake. Wanting to fix it, i looked back at my screen to find the horror of my Smart Score being zero. I had spent an hour and a half conjuring my 97 smart score, just for it to be ruined in a silly mistake. I had felt sorrow and anguish in that moment, thinking of how much time i had wasted building up to that smart score, just for it all to be reset. I decided to take a break, though i was not allowed to. I came back to IXL after about 10 minutes to find that my teacher had messaged me. The note read the following: "Dear Ian, I have been looking through the camera on your laptop, and have found that you left for 10 minutes. That was a vital mistake, Ian. You will regret that.". I was slightly scared, knowing that my teacher had been spying on me, but reassured myself that it probably meant nothing, and i will be fine. I had technically done my 2 hours of IXL, and decided to go to sleep because it was very late. I had woken up to a beautiful Saturday morning. I went outside to smell the flowers. They were magnificent as always. Because it was Saturday, i chose to play a game on my computer. I opened the game, but to my surprise, it opened IXL. I continued to reopen the game, yet IXL had still been opened instead. Being very distressed at the coincidence, i had decided to go on a walk instead. I went through the trail in the forest behind my backyard. I had seen a few people in the trail, but they were all sitting on benches with a laptop open. I had found it weird that they were not enjoying nature, so i peeked onto one of their screens. To my surprise, they were on IXL. I had looked at a few more, and they were still all on IXL. My anger and confusion had directed me to find my way back home. I was getting tired of seeing IXL all day, so i took a nap. My dream, however, was even more peculiar. I had dreamed of me doing an IXL lesson, yet failing whenever i was nearly done. It was a sort of problem like Sisyphus had. I would work my way up, but fall from one tiny mistake. That dream felt like hours, days, weeks even. I had finally awoken to find myself at 3:00 PM in the afternoon. I was shocked, because it felt like i had been dreaming forever, yet it was only a few hours. I had went to the kitchen to ask my mom if lunch was ready. She said it was, and i looked to see the most mouthwatering meal i had ever set my eyes upon. I had asked her where she had learned to make it. She said she had learned it on IXL. I heard those words come out of her mouth and make contact with me like that tip of a dagger. Those words set me in a fit of anger. I had furiously marched back up to my room. I slammed the door shut, but later realizing i had broken it. The door was jammed shut, and i could not open it with all of my force. I had dove into my bed and i started to tear up. I had had a horrible day, and it was getting nothing but worse. The only logical explanation for my bad luck was that some sort of overlooking deity was furious with me. I had spent that rest of my day circling in my room, wondering who i have provoked. I hadn't been to school the week after. I was trapped in my room, with my shouts for help only making more echoing noises in my head. With every voice and every bash against the door, nothing seemed to happen but worsen the situation. It had felt like years, being trapped in that room. I had finally realized what the one key to escaping would be. I found my school laptop on the ground, and tried to contact people to come and help. I had been hoping to contact somebody, but the only page that seemed to load was IXL. I had remembered that IXL was the one thing that caused this horrible event to happen, so i decided to do anything but IXL. I had been in my room for 3 months when it happened. Many loud noises were coming from the other side of my door. I had tried to open it and see what the noises were, but it did not help. Out of complete anger, I had repeatedly smashed my head against the door. I had knocked myself out, and I thought I had died, but I had woken up eventually. I found myself in some sort of dormant state. I had tried to fight the force keeping me asleep, but it only bounced me backwards. I could not move, feel, or see. I knew I was in a room, tied up. I had eventually came to my senses and regained myself. I was in a large wrapped coat, inside of a room with pillows for walls. The only thing different was a hole with a hinge on it. I was in an insane asylum. If you wish to keep your sanity, do not ever use IXL.
