Australia is home to so many great scientists in ophthalmology and optometry, and Australian researchers have made a real difference in eye care and vision science around the world. Your work in glaucoma research, neuroprotection and improving access to eye care is a great example of this. We also had the pleasure of publishing your excellent paper, Role of reactive oxygen species and oxidative stress in the pathomechanism of glaucoma. It is now indexed in PubMed, and we are very pleased to see this important work reaching the scientific community with citations. Your article provides a valuable overview of how oxidative stress contributes to glaucoma and discusses possible directions for future research. Considering your leadership at Westmead Hospital, your work with the Community Eye Care Project in Western Sydney, and your involvement with RANZCO and Australian Vision Research, we would be very interested in expanding our academic collaboration with Australia academic community. We believe there could be some really good opportunities to work together on research and projects that can benefit both researchers and patients. Thanks again, Professor White. Thank you very much for your kind comment! We have always enjoyed working with scientists from Europe, especially Italy. Recently, we had the pleasure of working with great scientists in Italy on an important review about acute macular neuroretinopathy (AMN), published in our PubMed/Scopus indexed ophthalmology journal. This study reviews the possible causes of this retinal condition , its association with different systemic factors, and how modern imaging techniques such as OCT have improved our understanding of the AMN. It also discusses whether the name should be changed to better reflect the involvement of the outer retinal layers. We are proud of these international collaborations and hope to build more academic connections witheuropean researchers in the future!

Ms Tahereh Abdolahinia is an experienced optometrist and senior optometry scientist based in Oman, with a strong background in clinical optometry, low vision rehabilitation, ocular imaging, and contact lens practice. She has a Master's degree in Optometry and has contributed to clinical research and scientific activities over the years with sevral papers in PubMed. Tahereh has presented her work at several international and regional meetings, including EUCornea Congress, MIOC (Oman), ESO (Emirates), MEACO, and ESCRS. Her research covers a wide range of topics, from scleral contact lenses and keratoconus to low vision and refractive surgery. We are pleased to see dedicated professionals like Tahereh contributing to eye care and vision science. Thank you again for sharing your experience with IVORC. Thank you, Prof. Reviglio, for your kind feedback. We are very happy that you are happy with our work! Prof. Victor Eduardo Reviglio is a pioneer ophthalmologist and eye surgeon from Argentina. He is known for his innovative ideas and his ability to address new challenges in a timely manner. We had the pleasure of working with him and his co-author, Dr Matias Osaba, on a project just a few days after COVID-19 emerged. His paper, COVID-19 and Ophthalmology: A New Chapter in an Old Story, was a pioneering work and became an important reference in ophthalmology, in PubMed. He later published another interesting paper in our optometry journal, Photophysical and photodynamic analysis of different formulations of riboflavin. We really admire Prof. Reviglio. He works in a place where research funding is very limited, yet he spends his own resources to continue his research. This shows how much he cares about science and his profession. Such dedication is not easy to find in other part of the world! It was a real pleasure working with you, Professor Reviglio . We wish you all the best and hope to have more opportunities to work together in the future!

Thank you, Professor Ng It has been a real pleasure working with you for over a decade as a member of ophthalmology editorial board. It is truly an honour for us to have you with us all these years! IVORC is a self-funded academic center, without external financial support from government or industry, and open-access publishing is costly. Almost every week, we receive requests from researchers who cannot afford the publication fees, especially those working in countries with very limited research funding. We are doing our best to help through the new Publication Fee Assistance Initiative, so that researchers can publish good quality work regardless of their financial situation. Of course, our resources are limited, but we hope to expand this initiative in the future with more support from the academic community. We really appreciate your long-standing support and contribution, Professor Ng. It means alot to our team, and we hope to continue working together for many more years!
