isecretshop.comReviews of isecretshop.com

I have mystery shopped nearly a decade never have I ever been nickel and dimed so hard in my life for literal pennies. Avoid this scam factory. Their app is total Spyware garbage too. They will blame you for their terrible tech. No accountability either. Total waste of time.

Very vague instructions, clunky app, not easy to navigate, not clear what they want during a shop. Even worse, the rate on the scanning jobs is not what you earn. They do not clearly disclose this. A $130 scanning job may only yield $30. Huge waste of time, and they do not care that they are deceptive in this way, inviting me to waste even more time scanning other areas of the store.

I have been doing mystery shopping for several years now with multiple 5 star and highly recommended statuses on multiple platforms. I had been using this company until the "software" company iSecretShop that is based outside of Seattle, WA maliciously shadow banned by account after a dispute with one company who wrongly denied a postal audit shop over a year ago. I pursued payment and they finally paid me, but this one issue with this one company was used to wrongly mess with and change my status with other companies for some reason. There were no known issues other than with that company and now I can't use the platform because none of the regular assignments I did are showing up. After years of regular use I haven't had an assignment show up since the beginning of the year. I filed complaints and the staff are cruel, condescending, and dishonest trying to feign ignorance by using the excuse that they are just a software company (yeah, the company that controls the software that controls the status of user accounts and if/when they get work no matter what any client company has done). BEWARE of this company as there are aspects of them that are definitely a SCAM and they can be arbitrarily malicious!

They are a total scam!! I signed up did a postal service mystery shop and didn't get my money back.

I signed up immediately as a new member of mystery shopping. Once registered, I found it easy to navigate. Messaging board is a plus for communication issues with acceptance of shop and submitting reports. Instructions are clear and everything you need to know about the shop you're doing is on the site to print, study and add to your calendar.

Unfortunately this company tries to find ANY reason to decline your shop and not pay you for it. I was warned about this before signing up but I did it anyway. I found out the hard way that it was the absolute truth. RUN, don't walk.

Have to agree that app is not very user friendly and process is just time consuming in general. You can’t just choose a shop, you have to request it then in many instances they deny your request without any explanation whatsoever. Or you request it and it tells you someone else has it, etc. Honestly, one of my least favorite Shopper companies at this time. I hope they streamline the process to engender greater interest.

This is a very interesting and low paid side job. In some cases, the assignment reimburses you for purchases, while at the same time requiring a greater dollar amount in purchases than the reimbursement. The the compensation is often not adequate to cover the expense of getting to the location. One fascinating detail of the review expectations is coming up with lengthy written reviews when logic would say a simple yes or no, or a three word statement might be adequate. Surprisingly those will get rejected because the reply needs to be 30 characters. So you come up with a reply that’s 30 characters or more and it gets rejected for inaccurate punctuation, capitalization, or spelling errors. A crazy amount of time is spent, trying to produce an extended reply, and then have to go back and figure out what punctuation their system thinks ought to be inserted.
