Ireland Family Vacations/ Traveling in IrelandReviews of irelandfamilyvacations.com

This was such a helpful website for planning our family trip to Ireland. Jody's advice is excellent, especially on choosing two quadrants and focusing on them, hiring driver guides, and finding support for accessibility needs. And she really does answer every email! I have already recommended this site to friends.

Exactly what I needed for a little help!

I listened to numerous of Jody's podcasts in the six months leading up to our Ireland vacation, used some of her free itineraries (HIGH praise for the drive from Dublin to Killarney suggested itinerary), took a tour with one of her podcast guests (Ollie's Tours in Doolin) and ate at a Dublin restaurant recommended by another guest. All of her recommendations were spot on and I felt so prepared based on all the tips and information she provided. I can't recommend Ireland Family Vacations strongly enough! Thanks, Jody!!!

I reached out with a question and received a response within 24 hours!

The Craft Culture & Craic Ireland Tour was a unique, special and thoughtfully planned getaway to a beautiful destination with many interesting and “off the beaten path” experiences. The guide was knowledgeable and made sure to respond quickly to any questions we had before, during and after the tour. This was a trip I will hold dear and remember very fondly for …ever! A big thank you to Jody for being a wonderful host who looked after her guests quite well!

Ireland Family Vacations is the most up to date and information packed Irish connection resource online! Her recommendations are action packed. She's a been there, done that, stand above the fray, when it comes to everything Ireland!

My partner and I traveled to Ireland in late April and early May 2026 to celebrate our 10-year anniversary, and it was truly the trip of a lifetime. My partner has deep Irish roots, so creating a meaningful and memorable experience was especially important to us. Thanks to Jody’s expertise and thoughtful guidance, we were able to design an itinerary that perfectly matched our interests, schedule, and budget. The Ireland Travel Compass was an invaluable resource throughout the planning process. Jody’s recommendations struck the perfect balance between iconic destinations and authentic local experiences, allowing us to make the most of every day without ever feeling overwhelmed. From breathtaking scenery and incredible food to rich history and culture, every part of the trip exceeded our expectations. We returned home with unforgettable memories and a much deeper appreciation for Ireland. We fully intend to return—hopefully with extended family next time—and when we do, Jody will be our first call. We cannot recommend Jody and The Compass highly enough for anyone looking to experience the very best of Ireland. Also, check out her podcast!
