Thanks to InterExchange I had the best summer in New York with the program Camp Counselor. A great experience with a lot of memories and friends around the world.

Camp experience wasn’t good, was left homeless in New York with no help.

I enjoyed attending camp and the way USIT helped and supported me on my trip away was fantastic. I am not sure if I would take part in a camp USA programme again now that I have experienced it once. I did think it was quite expensive by the time I calculated my total expenses after I returned home. I was also quite lost on the process surrounding the filing of my American taxes, which I didn’t receive much help for. Other than that, the experience was a memorable one at camp and I am glad I did it.

Hi, Suzanne! Thanks for sharing your feedback. As a nonprofit organization, we strive to keep our fees as low as possible and we do try to make participants aware of other costs that may arise. And while we are not licensed tax professionals, going forward we'll work on providing more guidance and support for filing. Feel free to reach out to us directly if you have more thoughts on how we can create the best experience possible for everyone.

I never got to fully experience the American culture because I only left camp to buy supplies. I also didn't really get to share mine.
