My experience was AMAZING at Camp Chateaugay! I made wonderful connections with people that I'm happy to call my friends. I also learnt a lot about the different cultures of the various countries in the world. Camp Chateaugay is the place to make wonderful memories!

I had help whenever I needed it My experience with InterExchange hasn't been long so far but I can say there's always someone to help, which is very helpful the first year you try to apply. They got me to know Camp Cedar, which I will be always grateful for. Once in camp I found out there were people working with other sponsors who were getting paid a little bit more than me and other InterExchange peers, and I think that would be something to work on.

I’m so happy about Inter exchange work, you answers were always in the best way you could, and you helped me a lot all the time, the only thing I was not very happy with is the specific camp. I think for us is very important to know the real job we will do. For example, I was told my job wouldn’t be as hard, and they don’t have the equipment to make it easy of even possible. The schedule at night was very hard to handle because of the special need to deal with, a lot of days without sleeping, cleaning clothes, sheets and people; working all night to prepare what the lead counselor supposed to do, etc. I think been specific about ages and needs of the campers could help, during my interview they never told me about ages of weight and I got hurt my back very bad. Everyone took good care of me, but it was a hard job to do without good help or equipment, as I mentioned before. Sometimes the people on charge was stressed and they used to yell a lot to us, even if we were doing a good job; trying to make us work more and more and more with some violent language. At the end just one American counselor stayed, all of the other ones quit because the job was hard and they said the pay was unfair. Anyway, I learned a lot and I appreciate it, I hope I can go to another camp experience soon.

It was really good and everyone was super friendly and made me feel less stressed and reassured me.

The camp I worked with gave me the worst experience and I gave out my report on how the situation was and basically I got a response that nothing could be done about it.

I had an amazing experience working at my camp and meeting new people. Honestly it was one of the best experiences I had in life. I've got the opportunity to learn new things and to visit new places. It also was a great opportunity to know myself and to grow as a person.

I had one of the best summer and the smoothest transitioning and its thanks to InterExchange. They provided resources that prepared me before leaving to a foreign country and even after arriving! They were with me until I came back home.
